Welp there goes the official flagship for lane-swerving douchebags everywhere.

To be fair you’ve just described most Maximas on the road as well.

His name is Gabe and bought a Fiat, could you be any more of a geno lmao

That claim needs to be backed up by some hard stats. Not that I’m doubting your buddy but it is anecdotal. The thing is why would Honda deliberately worsen the quality for just one generation?

I think the 9th gen Civic gets way too much flack. It’s a Civic, who expects premium materials in a Civic? Even today’s Civics don’t really feel all that premium, hard plastics galore.

Maybe a few too many falls off the ATC explains why you would buy an Element today lol

No the whole Asimo and related projects were a huge waste of time and money. That money should have been invested in electric car development. Look at Honda now, desperately behind even the likes of Nissan, Hyuandai and holy crap even Kia.

That’s the thing with most Hondas, even when they’re perceived as missteps, they still have some positive attributes and garner a loyal following. For example the Crosstour. Talk to anyone who’s owned one and they absolutely adore it.

I don’t follow your point but in case you haven’t noticed driving makes people angry, anxious and isolated. Road rage incidents and accidents are a big stressors on people and can lead to lower mental health.

Exactly.  People drive because they have to, not because they enjoy it.  If we took those people off the road and gave them viable alternatives, then real enthusiasts could do enthusiast level driving with cars they love.  Just like in Europe.

Car dependency is one of the biggest problems in North America. It has lead to a health crisis with obesity rates spiraling out of control. It has lead to city designs that allow for mental illness to prosper.

Yes the combined power of 17 people can make an unbelievable difference.

If you had that kind of money for a vehicle and didn’t put it towards an electric or hybrid vehicle right now, I would think you’re suffering from some kind of neurological disorder.  Or at the very least something cool like a Civic Type R

I gotta agree with you there, the Dodge Stealth RT Turbo looked phenomenal

I always considered the RX-7 as the odd duck especially considering its rotary engine.  The Mitsu 3000 always struck me as too normal.

It’s a bit of an overlooked classic. Cars like the 300Z, the RX-7 and the Supra have really taken off in the last few years as somewhat overhyped classics but for some reason the Mitsu 3000 and its twin the Dodge Stealth haven’t really been held in the same regard.

I’m getting to the stage of my life where I look at any ICE car and ask myself “why bother?”

I’d probably get the new Supra. Looks different, understated and not douchy. Also it’s rare...maybe not exactly exotic but you can use the $60K you saved to modify it and make it look as exotic as you want to.  Example below.

Hideous? Far from it. It’s no Jag E but it’s got several things going for it:

Why am I snobbish?  I was just asking the question who this car could be for and you provided an example which is great.  I don’t know of all the various car cultures out there.  So not snobbish, just ignorant.
