It’s not a bad idea because the number of people you could sell it to was already known (ie very low). So if you know you’re going to sell low numbers, then you have to charge more to justify the development and production costs.

Who is this car for though? Real collectors don’t give a shit about SHO’s, they’re busy buying real collectibles (ie expensive). For someone who needs a beater, they can buy more reliable vehicles for a similar price (ie. Civic or Corolla).
