I really really REALLY hope they can get permission to use actual games in this movie. One thing I really hate about movies depicting video games, and just how godawful the fake games they use actually look.

Yeah, I doubt people will recognize them, I certainly won’t, but it might help the movie feel more authentic. Besides, it can only help these guys careers, as like you said, no one likely knows who they are, but might after they showed up in a movie.

Odd, I always thought DOOM was one of those old games that was practically in the Public Domain, with people being able to do what ever with it. I’ve seen so many mods, and fan games using the doom engines, and Doom graphics, that I just figured it was one of those things that anyone could use.

Yes, regardless of the language, it’s fairly overreacting to compare people disagreeing with you on the internet to stripping a people of their rights. I may not agree with the Muslim faith, but they have just as much of a right to practice their faith as everyone else.

I’m really torn on this. I love Sonic the Hedgehog. I love Legos. But I HATE Lego games. Not personally, but the gameplay never clicked with me. I always wanted to enjoy them, but I can never get past the first level of any Lego game without losing interest.

I’m getting an Ark vibe from this too, which is fantastic. I really like Ark, but it’s super unpolished. I’m hoping this to be a more polished game. It already looks better, graphic wise. But we’ll see if it runs better.

Yeah, I figured that out quickly that the sword is pretty much just for show, and doesn’t do any extra damage. Even the sword core is pretty useless, as the sword still does pathetic damage compared to just shooting with the shotgun. It’s kinda disappointing, honestly. And it makes me miss having a Strider.

Is it on the Virtual Console yet? They might just be bringing it to the Virtual Console.
