I wonder if there's a correlation between success in life and month of birth. I mean, if you have a kid who's older than zis classmates ze's more likely to do better academically, and if ze's more likely to do well academically ze's more likely to get encouragement from teachers and parents, which would set zer on a

Funny how so many people are born from aug-sept. I've always thought of summer and fall babies as these fringe people who are always so much younger or so much older than everyone else. In a school context, of course.

Maybe there really isn't such a great difference between the most common and least common b-days, and the amount of births it takes to make something more common is really quite small.

Maybe there's something wrong with the system that gave you wealth.

Maybe the driver was just some hick who thought it was fine to park there?

As a south-pawed gay anglophone Portuguese Montrealer with a deformed left hand and mild vocal issues; whose tastes in music favours 1923 jazz, early samba, and the baroque; who knows very little about his peer's pop culture and never has; who cares nothing for bars and nightclubs; I feel qualified to say that

I have the same issue, but mostly because it seems my intonation and stress is all wrong. Since I didn't have the same issue with the folder experiment, and when I hear other people's recordings they sound slightly off, too, I think that maybe we should blame recording tech for messing up our voices.

No, that's not true - people do care. I work as a cashier and deal with dozens or even hundreds of strangers a day. I judge people according to their voice and behaviour, though I don't really put it against them unless they're assholes. Most of my coworkers judge people, too.

I thought her voice was annoying but I think the animations were supposed to be tongue-in-cheek.

Did they forget to caulk it with tar or something?

well, technically the first try was well before 3,500 ya.

Yes, it is too hard to get internet access on TV. Don't think about how easy it is for you to use; think about how the average middle-class fifty-year old, who struggled with VCRs and struggles with DVDs, would have a heck of trouble trying to use Airplay or an Apple TV. Good luck if they've even heard of them.

"Sticks and stones" isn't a saying 2012 much likes.

Maybe they didn't whore around as teens. Lotsa teens don't.

Monorail! Monorail! Monorail!

Do we have more effective ways to test if its a liquid, by, say studying its molecular structure or something?

I think mid-century modern is more minimalist and conventional while Googie is wilder and noveltyish. MC modern is an office bloc; Googie is a motel with curvy buttresses. MC modern is an angular sofa and googie is three bean bags stuck together and supported by funny cones.
