haha, TODD WAS THE VIRUS
haha, TODD WAS THE VIRUS
YES. EXACTLY. This show really should be hilarious broken people being broken at each other.
Yeah — and that's the thing that frustrates me with the series, too. WHY are Todd/Melissa "normal"? I mean, they've been the only living creature on earth (as far as they knew) for TWO YEARS. Not everyone's gonna break the same, but I'm pretty sure everyone's gonna break. And yet… they haven't?
I think part of it is that they just haven't really given her a character either. She's still just "the girl", which is kind of depressing.
Yeah — and I'm kinda in the same frame of mind about how Melissa hasn't really gotten any character traits other than "The Pretty Girl". It seems that all of her scenes are reactive — she never seems to start anything, and we really don't know much about her. I mean, we got a pretty decent backstory on Todd — I feel…
Seriously. Less Clarkson and more Rogers? That's a world I wanna live in.
Yeah, I'm the same way. I like him on other stuff, but on CBB, it just seems to devolve super quick. My theory is that Scott and Benny Schwaz know each other TOO well for it to really work.
…to be fair, Geraldo also made Manson look like a real journalist by comparison…
This is the thing that's so annoying. Phil and Carol have different types of madness from being alone for TWO YEARS. Melissa and Todd seem… pretty much normal. Which is WACKY considering the circumstances?
Yeah, definitely — I'm sort of "Oh." that it devolved into a Love Triangle. And given the premise that it's THE LAST THREE (now four) people in the world, I'm kinda surprised that it IS just a sitcom love triangle?
Yeah, I'm in the same boat. Vice was OK, but this year's been more-or-less a slog. Mainly in the way they've really ruined Lana.
He doesn't even use that hand!
I'm so disappointed how this season's done by Lana. She used to be AWESOME, but now when it's a Lana plot I groan, since they're not gonna let her do anything but lecture.
Michaela Dietz (Amethyst) is — according to IMDB main credits are Barney & Friends and Grand Theft Auto. That combo amuses me.

I thought SuperEgo was all improv?
I'm kinda surprised we didn't get another CJ episode given last week's, but I am down with Party Horse.
I also read a thing that said the Gems were cast for their singing voices.
Now I kind of want to see a Police Squad! type of series that DOES that.
I don't remember you reading that…
Yeah, I'm really hoping next week doesn't start with them fighting over what should be an explainable misunderstanding.
