The voices for Rorschach and Nite Owl in particular sound like parody voices out of Aqua Teen, and that’s before you get the fact that the animation looks like Joel-Haver-But-Unintentional

Desus Mero isn’t right—either Desus & Mero, or, more likely since they’ve broken up, Desus Nice of Desus & Mero.
He doesn’t show up at all. The twins/Jimmy Jr. are still around, but presumably their dad is busy doing stuff that doesn’t involve storming the capitol.
Given that it’s by Jenn Kaytin Robinson, I think it’s gonna be smarter than that. Sweet/Vicious was an absolutely brilliant, feminist show, and, honestly, Someone Great was a great twist on the romcom, being about a relationship falling apart. So I’d recommend giving this one a chance, I know I will be.
(seriously…
For Matt Berry: Snuff Box and Toast of London are outstanding. IDK “Year of the Rabbit”, so that might be good too! Also, Berry’s records are amazing. Highly recommended checking his music out.
I’m curious and I’ll likely check it out, but TBH, this is one of the big things that sunk “Powerless” for me — I love Alan Tudyk, but perhaps the idea of having an unlikable rich moron asshole who failed upwards to run things wasn’t the best time for a 2016 (or maybe 2017? IDR) premiere.
Does this movie have the super imposed text like in the first one? I mean, if not, that sounds like potentially the only improvement on the original. (Which was... fine. It wasn’t great, but it was a decent enough way to kill 90 minutes. But this just sounds like they learned the wrong lessons from the original and…
It didn’t help that the ad campaign was abysmal for it. I remember when it premiered, the ads were just “CORPORATE” or stuff like “CORPORATE WOULD LIKE TO SEE YOU” or whatever, without giving ANY clue as to what the show was, but making it look not nearly interesting or intriguing enough to care. I still haven’t…
I’m just mostly surprised no one seemed to mention the dueling: “Clark + Lois” and “Kal + Diana” valentines.
Just watched Ma this afternoon, and loved it. I’m surprised people didn’t seem to like it. And CONTROVERSIAL OPINION: Octavia Spencer is amaaaaazing.
To be fair, the joke of one of Filbert’s babies looking like Heffer was in the original series, too.
OH!!
REQUEST FOR CLARIFICATION:
Does the eye-nipple lady ALSO have eyes in the normal place? And if so, was it tears from her eye-place eyes, or her boob-eyes that created the giant spider creature?
The Head was resoundingly “meh” but The Maxx was my favorite.
Bring back Liquid TV too! (Again!) (The new Liquid TV is legit pretty great, so yeah.)
SHE IS THE STALLION MANG
I suppose, but it seems like she could have called the cops or something. I figure she just was curious what would happen. She probably figured the kids’d be okay because they always are, so hey.
I actually kinda liked that because it makes it seem that Nana’s not 100% good. She’s also a Blossom Force For Chaos, she just happens to be chaotic good instead of chaotic evil like Penelope or chaotic neutral like Cheryl.
Seriously! When she started to pass out, I was all like “Well, duh.”
As much as I prefer Hermione’s arcs, I had to hand it to Hiram for “framing her” for something she actually did.
It was Haiti, and that was the first MAD trip! Bill Gaines would take the staff and Usual Gang of Idiots on a trip every year! A bit more: https://www.madmagazine.com/blog/2012/12/13/totally-mad-excerpt-what-were-the-mad-trips
