Oh, no, I know, but I mean it generally goes song -> Talking about song -> scene… I was just kinda alluding to that middle step.

Yeah — that's what makes me kinda "eh" on the musical episodes of I4H — I'm not sure if songs really make for good jumping off points? I think I'd find it more interesting if the songs were just a bonus thing, and the jumping offs were just monologues from the musical guest. (Maybe minus the suggestions, I don't…
Yeah — I wouldn't say she's terrible, just that she's, as someone said above, just sort of the "Girl" role, rather than a character. At least so far.
Yeahhhh. I'm cutting Phil a LITTLE slack here just because of the whole isolation madness thing, but it was still lame. I felt a little sad for her — the very last man on earth, and he's creeping on her.
Yeah, IMHO, Carol and Melissa was right. His chin IS pointy. The beard softens it.
Yeah — I'm hoping that Melissa doesn't turn out to be the Normal One, because, honestly, in this situation, there WOULDN'T be a "normal one". It's been TWO YEARS since she's seen another human being. That's gonna do a number on anybody.
I dunno — I disagree. I figure we probably did hit the limit with Phil alone, but I think we could have gotten another ep or two of just Phil/Carol. But then, too, my favorite season of Red Dwarf is the first, when it's just two people going slowly mad.
I would not be surprised if it turns out that they do something with Dennis and murder, but I really don't see him murdering the Gang. The Gang will probably cause his downfall, but that's more just because causing downfall is kinda their thing.
I might be off-base, but it seems that a lot of male-skewing/boy cartoons seem to be about the Individual — like, say, it's more about Goku getting the dragon balls or whatever it is, where SU is more about the team/relationships — the Gems as a whole, rather than just Steven, say.
Working at a Hot Fish shop in Minnesota?
Huh — this makes me wonder, too, if this is how Gem Love works? Like if Greg had been a Gem, would we have gotten Greg Quartz instead of Steven?
Actually — yeah — I was wondering about this. It seemed that Jasper was drawn in a bit more of a Masculine Style (the individual teeth reminded me of John Kricfalusi, say), and I kind of wonder if this can be seen, at least somewhat, as a synecdoche of Masculinity versus Feminity/Other fighting cartoons versus Steven…
I just did an article for folks getting into Steven Universe, if anyone's interested! https://unicornbooty.com/5-…
Yeah — after all, too, Soos started at the Shack about 20 years prior. It's reasonable that the death happened when Dipper/Mabel's parents were kids, so whichever relation to Stan just grew up knowing One Uncle.
No — it was relatively early. I wanna say it was in the Copy Machine one?
Apparently Friday's ep is the season finale.
I quite liked this, but got a little annoyed that the Gems abandoned Greg so early, especially since it seemed like Greg was actually getting stuff to work when his battery blew.
I don't know — I'd be DEEPLY surprised if SU ends up killing anyone off.
If it makes it any better, a lot of the Birthday Boys got writing gigs at CBB, so it's presumably a self-joke.
The scene with the leeches right after the mention of "pooping cough" helped with the visualization, at least for a second.
