For a second, I thought the "we give them food" rant was actually Master Shake run through a weird filter.

Yep — crawl mentioned it!
…or do you mean BETTER because they are being performed by fat guys in clown makeup?
I wouldn't say utterly devoid — there're a few episodes where Benson skews that way to just Dickish Boss — but for the most part.
I've always loved the title screen/void painting. It's just a real cool look.
I always like how Skips tends to be pretty cool. He's not quite "one of the guys" but he's laid back enough to mess with Mordecai sometimes. (The Party Pete one ran today, so I'm just thinking about that with Benson leaving for the day and making a big deal about Skips being in charge, and as soon as he leaves,…
I KNOW! I went back and forth on that too. I think I'm gonna go with that it reached her.
I don't know — I kind of took away that Blue Nose combined his artsy instincts with the fartsy techniques the people wanted. The second routine seemed a bit… fancier than one would expect for straight up fartsy.
I agree — this ep was phenomenal. I'd say at LEAST a solid A.
Yeah — that's one of the things I forgot about Jake The Dad is how friggin' melancholy the ending is. I love that they've kinda hit the whole Jake-Feels-Cheated-But-Has-Nowhere-To-Place-The-Blame thing. And how he keeps treating, say, Jake Jr. like a little girl, even though she's almost 30.
hahaha, that is awesome.
I'm also thinking there's something to do with lemonheart/melonheart, but I can't figure out what it'd be. Some sort of way to tie in Finn and Lemonhope? I dunno.
Well, that and the arm.
One line I really liked that… I think I saw it in an article/interview about AT, was something about how the kids growing up on Adventure Time are gonna be the first Not Screwed-Up Generation.
That one's his "return to pop music". For a while he was even saying that he'd done as much as he could with Ambient. That said, it's still a LOT different than the 70s albums, particularly lyrically. Those ones were pretty crystalline and odd, being written by sound — the lyrics in ADOE are more straight-forward.
TBH, Clarence hasn't really done it for me either. I think he's suppose to come off as dumb-but-fun, but about half-the-time he comes off as dumb-but-an-asshole. It's currently in my "if it is on and there is nothing else happening, I will watch it" list.
Ooh, yes, on ETHWHT. That album is magnificent.
I'm quite fond of "Another Day On Earth".
One thing I noticed in "Hot To the Touch", which they paired with this episode — when Flame Princess says to Finn "You cry and cry — and therein lies your power", it's a neat little line about the importance of Finn's (and I'd say AT itself's) emotional core being the source of his/its power.
For me, I was surprised that the JFK one got dismissed as "weird". Seriously, that was an amazing video. (TBH, far, far better than the other two.)
