I don’t think she told Jon because he was totally undermining her every time she tried to make any decision or advise him on the battle.

It really does show something about this guy that he immediately thought of his penis when he read the name of the column.

Oh I like that. Or if Jo Jo had a cat, she could have been like “get my cat out of a tree, like firemen do.” And watching a bunch of full grown men trying to coax an angry cat from a tree would be some good fucking TV.

During Golden Girls we learned little bits and bobs from their lives before they all met. Am I the only one who would watch a prequel about their early lives? (mostly Rose’s)

Am I just supposed to accept that this man’s name is PartyNextDoor with no spaces?

Rapist are usually people you know.

“Men seem clueless at the routine darkness that women have to deal with in their lives, primarily because we never have to deal with it ourselves.”

I’m with the author - I would have wanted to tell the guy he’d been seen, watch him deny it, then say okay, prove it’s not true, drink it all yourself right now. And yes I realize that’s not the right way to handle it, it’s just what I would have WANTED to do.

I’m glad she believed a stranger instead of thinking “that’s my best friend, he would never do that”.

I liked the inclusion from a woman whose male friend had that experience. I know I have.

I love when women watch out for other women

Women looking out for other women is such a powerful and reliable thing. Every woman who has ever saved the day for another woman gives me more hope and trust in humanity than anything else in the world.

I just left my husband of five years because his alcoholism was chronic and led him to be verbally abusive at times. He scared me because when I asked him to stop the answer was an empathic “no” and gaslighting me into a different place. I COMPLETELY understand her actions (inasmuch as one can understand another).

That’s what I plan on doing if I ever write a novel: leave a lot of open ended questions and vague hints, let the fans come up with complex theories, then choose the best one and pretend it was my plan all along.

This “twist” has been obvious for a while. The greenseers clearly are implied to have much more power than simply seeing through trees.

Well, seeing as GRRM clearly must have had the entire time-warging “meddling” thing in mind from the very beginning — in order for his name to even make sense — then you can rant about the series all you want, but it doesn’t make any sense to somehow insist that it’s D&D’s version you don’t like.

If any character should have been a synth, it should have been Preston Garvy.

Listen, and understand! Preston Garvey is out there! He can’t be bargained with. He can’t be reasoned with. He doesn’t feel pity, or remorse, or fear. And he absolutely will not stop, ever, until you help that settlement!
