I had a feeling this wasn't going to end well. It's sad and it would be great if some kind of secret signal could help abuse victims find help but the thing about it is that it actually needs to be secret

I agree.

Look, Jezzies, I too am ready to settle for Hillary Clinton’s brand of hypercentrist pantsuited warhawking. But let me pine for Bernie, in the green pastures of America’s unreachable left field, for just a few more months.

I’m wondering how the response would be if the apologist was male. I hope the response would be the same between the two. I’m not trying to start anything, I’m genuinely curious.

Men can be sexually assaulted, too.

Exactly, the repercussions really are that great. So many men seem unable to understand gender inequality and the impact of improper behaviour by a man in a position of power that even if it is agreed that the man in question did do something that would constitute harassment, it is not considered necessarily

Your repercussions can be HUGE if you are a grad student. It’s not an exaggeration to say if you speak up you might never work in your field and you’ll be labeled a trouble maker. I have had friends in terrible situations and they tend to just keep their head down and hope to graduate as soon as possible and get away.

Shit, it starts young too. I helped run a STEM summer program for middle school students and one of the boys sexually harassed a girl by staring at her all day, following her around, and writing sexually explicit notes to her. The administrations general attitude was “boys will be boys.” The program was on a college

Of course he was able to harass for such a long time; the light warning can take thousands of years to reach the earth.

Meanwhile, after reading this, I have added this skill to OkCupid:

Looking for: Someone with the ability to handle stressful task. I defuse bombs and I will need a second player to assist with the How To Booklet.

That was fast.

I’m pretty sure Matt Damon knows when diversity is an issue.

God, it must really be awful for those creators to have a bunch of people on the internet making assumptions about their intentions and criticizing them publicly. Good thing it’s only on twitter though, imagine if there was a whole app, just for that!

I just assumed that Peeple was viral marketing for season 3 of Silicon Valley.

Maybe I’m just a misanthrope, but the last thing I want to feel in a work out is “the warm embrace of a friend.” Don’t touch me. Don’t talk to me. Don’t even look at me. Just let me sweat and suffer in peace.

How non-feminists see feminists: “She’s a woman! Feminists will vote for her”. Hence the totally idiotic headline in the Times.

Other things Marion Cotillard said*:

Goddammit, Marion Cotillard.

‘We’re separated already but we’re not made the same and it’s the difference that creates this energy in creation and love.”
