By the “hurt we have caused”, they meant how they hurt their own chances at recruiting the best prospects to sign onto a team that now has a reputation for being a pack of sexual predators. That’s the hurt they are so sorry for.

I actually agree with you. I also agree with me. We probably both have very good arguments that are based in fact and reason. That’s why I think the case should have been brought to trial unless there was another good technical/administrative reason not to do so. That said, I’m not sure if there was a pretrial hearing

But I do think it shows that there was enough of a precedent to at least justify bringing the case to trial. The fact that they chose not to prosecute at all seems suspicious to me. But then, I don’t know all the technical details of the case.

The worst part really isn’t that institutions are rife with abuse when nobody is paying attention. That’s to be expected. The worst part is that people feel horrified and then look the other way or trivialize it by telling themselves stories that make everything seem acceptable somehow.

Yes, there is some legal precedent that deals with “rape by deception” in UK law. However, the statute of limitations may have run out and cops working undercover in an official capacity may further complicate the issue. Then, of course, most people will also agree that the precedent was ignored through corruption.

I don’t think anything ever justifies rape or fathering, then abandoning, children. I would rather let dangerous terrorists roam the streets than live under a government that condones this type of behavior.

If you consider rapists heroes, then sure.

Can they sue them for back child support?

I fail to see how this is not rape?

One of my initial thoughts when I saw this piece was to wonder what “cornrows” mean to a Spanish person. Let me explain....
