my ex was an absolutely brilliant guy, amazingly creative and artistic and an aspiring author who actually has a chance at making it bigtime. he was also narcissistic, distant, and unfaithful (which he lied about to my face when everyone else knew about it), and actively made me feel like I was nowhere near good
