Malik and Sindhu were India’s only medalists at the Rio Olympics. Fantastic achievement in a male-dominated country that gives little financial/institutional support to olympic athletes outside of men’s field hockey. Most Indian athletes train in substandard conditions.

The fur they’re wearing is so abhorrent. The foxes etc. didn’t die to keep someone warm, just to keep them looking trashy.

Actually Kylie and/or Kendall posted a pic on Instagram wearing a designer Hillary tshirt, would be quite interesting to know if they were paid to do so. I’d thought celebs did political stuff just to show support, but it turns out Katie Perry has been paid to appear at Hillary events (the payments show up in campaign

That’s a strawman argument. The chair ruled ambiguous voice votes in favor of her own agenda. She ignored motions that were put forward via her own rules. For an example see this discussion about not allowing Sanders supporters to even stand for election for party committees, even though they submitted all the proper

You don’t know what soft money is, and/or you have no clue how Hillary and Bernie have each been raising money.

Watch the videos linked on the thread.

What are you talking about? The contested vote on the rules happened at 9:30 Saturday morning.

You insisted they didn’t change the rules, but the article you linked says this:

It was a caucus, not a primary. The caucus was originnally supposed to have three rounds: precinct, county, and and state. After Sanders did better than expected at the county level, (and H Clinton supporters tried and failed to have the Clark County rules chair arrested for being fair to Bernie supporters), state Dem

They did change the rules. The contested 9:30 am vote is when the chair motioned to adopt the temporary rules, which shut out the debates and roll call votes that are normally a part of these conventions. That was done to stop delegates from trying to undo the rule change that happened prior to the convention, when

To my ears the nays have it. But let’s say you’re right and it was too noisy to call. There’s an option to call a “no vote” and have people count off, the chair should have done that instead of ramming through her agenda.

That doesn’t at all jive with anything I’ve read about this anywhere else. Again, as I said in my first reply to you, if you have references for this stuff, please share.

There is no evidence that they got violent. Videos were taken all over the convention, yet there is no video of any violence or anyone throwing a chair. There’s a video of a guy picking up a chair, setting it down, and then getting a hug—that’s it. There were TONS of police there, if there had been violence, somebody

The reason for the complaints was that the rules were not followed.

The people who were booing at the NV convention weren’t “rabid zealots,” they were cheated by an unjust process. The focus in the media on the anger of the Bernie delegates, without bothering to figure out why they were angry, adds to the injustice of the situation.

64 Sanders delegates were disqualified and 8 Clinton delegates were disqualified, then Clinton won by 30 votes.

The Sanders people followed the rules and then the NV Dems changed the rules. The people who were disqualified were summarily banned and did not have a chance to present documentation or appeal, as noted in the minority report (which the chair attempted to suppress.) The the chair of the convention cheated her calls

Tulsi Gabbard is awesome, among many others.

The hair, makeup, and giant bow: Yes!

Was she unwavering in her commitment to poverty relief, children’s welfare, and women’s rights while she was on the board of WalMart? How about when she cheered on Bill Clinton as he gutted welfare and went after “superpredators” in his crime bill? Reportedly her paid Goldman Sachs speeches included reassurances for
