The Vibe Guy, Apparently
kitt222

Hey Jason! I'm very glad you found your Beetle. That VW is second only to Herbie in popularity by now. If I lived in the area I for sure would have tried actively searching for it. But since I'm not, all I could do is watch and hope.

By the way, there's a local guy selling four 69-74 beetle hubcaps, if you're

Best of luck Jason! It's out there and you will eventually find it. Maybe go around to local businesses that have cameras and see if they saw your Beetle on film that night.

Either a red or black early 90's Cadillac Deville. No wonder I'm still a Cadillac guy. Funnily enough, my grandpa also had one in gold. So, all in all, my family had three Cadillac DeVilles at one time.

Blame pedestrian safety regulations

As a fellow millenial, I think it is terrible what is happening to car culture, or even culture as a whole. We desire disposable devices that are highly toxic, and have short life spans. No way in hell my Iphone will outlive my car. But if anybody thinks that they can get more joy from a cell phone than driving,

It shouldn't matter much anyway... Give it a few years and they'll all be retired, with Tauruses, Exploreres, Chargers and Caprice police interceptors beginning to take their place.

We need a man on the inside of the Ford plant to put in secret lights so we can identify these new interceptors... The projector headlights make them impossible to distinguish!

Some morons are doing donuts in the highway, and people's first instinct is to film it on their cell phones? Why?

2013 Chevy Malibu LTZ rental car. Wait.... oh dammit, Detroit!

Best: new Stingray

Dodge Magnum. V8, RWD, wagon. It was available, but didn't sell too well. This proves 404's point.

I hope to maybe see you guys there. I'll be at the auto show on Tuesday. I'm very excited for it.

I've seen a Grand Marquis amongst them. I'd love to take a tour of them before some unsuspecting person buys back their flood-damaged car, none the wiser.

Now playing

Not my car, but the Toyota version of it. 04 Pontiac Vibe. I'm confident about its safety. Many other Vibe owners have been in bad accidents and walked away, including a head-on accident at 50mph.

Matrix was recalled, and GM is usually behind Toyota with their bastard child, but if necessary they will recall them.

Easy way to tell V6 from V8 on the Camaro is the front bumper. The V6 has a plain, flat bumper, whereas the V8 has a cowl induction port on the bumper. Compare the picture posted to this picture of a V6 Camaro.

Camaro RS has HID headlights and halos around the headlights, among other things. This has no halos, so it doesn't have the RS package.

I always try to keep an eye on my car when it's parked. I think it's the emotional side of me more than the financial side, but I hate it when other kids are hanging out closer to my car than their own. Especially after they were taking good, long stares into my car while I was getting things out of the back seat.

Morris Marina. There needs to be only one survivor. As a warning from history.

What does it take to get a job/internship at Jalopnik? I'm interested in the qualifications, because it doesn't seem like there would be too many, but I might be wrong. What about Jalopnik TV? Wasn't that going to be a thing?
