That design (a short-haired brunette teenager) isn’t copyrighted though, nor could it be. This is just Sony being heavy handed and DMCA trolling because the reasoning definitely wouldn’t pass muster in an actual court, and the dev (obviously) won’t have the resources to fight it.

These are the same dudes that will deny responsibility or claim they knew nothing when bad stuff happens at these companies, ala Bobby Kotick. I guess it’s forgotten when the checks come in & in that sense, they’re almost grifters.

Asking for permission to use something from a commercial library curated by tiktok seems a bit redundant. “Supposed to” doesn’t seem like a legal requirement.

Well, it’s just allegations. If they can prove wrongdoing, then the actual authorities will probably get involved after that.

Is that how you normally react to someone with the resources to take you to the cleaners for six figures? If what Acti is saying is true, is more or less fraud.

The stupidest timeline is the only timeline.

This entire mess reeks of some idiot from the west flying halfway across the world to a place and culture he has zero knowledge of and making a fool of himself. Amazing.

Alpha 3 was chaos, and as someone who never was a high level player, Alpha 3 was perfect & I still go back to it from time to time. And this is from someone who played the hell out of Alpha 2 on the SNES and loved

Everyone who draws has literally done this for various mundane reasons. Who cares? Why do people care like this? Is David going to be okay?

predatory business practices

Great? I mean why would anyone use a Gizmodo website as a source?

These are the kinds of games places like Kotaku pay the bills with. It also bums me out that, like the video says, scores of indie games will never even get an article from the websites that love advertising a game that is literally a scam.

basically cash grabs that prey on ignorant abusive parents and unassuming buyers

I don’t think they’re ever going to do that, if Instagram is anything to go by.

That’s not a Meta thing? I mean Twitter was already doing this.

Also the app is freaking bare, feature wise. It doesn’t even have hashtags yet.
