Yeah Aladdin was also SUPER-noticable too. This is one thing you feel in full 3D physics-based video games vs 2D too. It’s difficult to give things the same heft and speed simultaneously when translated to something “real.”

Yeah but, you know, there are ways to improve the underlying game itself. I’m not looking for the exact same game every year, but I’m also not looking for microtransactions, daily chores, and advertisements.
Makes you wonder if we’ll ever again get the relative simplicity of a Tecmo Super Bowl. I enjoy retro, though I wouldn’t really call myself a retrogamer, largely because you turn on a game and it’s there, in full, a start button press away. Always connected, always updating, yearly release and bugfix cycles, farming…
Nintendo has had their NES and SNES controllers available via their online store for a long time, adding an N64 one wouldn't be strange at all at this point.
The descriptions piece wasn’t a tweak in the functionality or stats, it was a misleading description to what was actually in the game at time of release.
The skill descriptions piece happened post-launch. This isn’t about the Beidou piece.
To be clear, as noted in the article, the things that came out of beta were leaks, so it is information that was illegally distributed to begin with that players were not intended to have. The skill description piece was poor for sure, though, that was just a mistake, and in a gacha game where people can blow through…
We are already through 25-33% of the base system’s lifespan before they release a v2/upgrade, more than likely.
I mean...Ultimate is literally this at this point. Look at all the IP in that game now, it's insane.
Agree to both, I see some of the author’s points but I do not understand the critiques of Venti or Zhongli, they seem pretty pitch-perfect to the characters.
Yep, Ei’s voice is noticeably different from Shogun when you finally encounter her. I thought this was actually quite the credit to the VA, in taking the edges off it was a very obvious change without altering the voice itself.
In contrast to the author’s opinion, while Paimon’s voice 100% takes a bit to get into the groove, it’s gets better quickly and I actually enjoy her a lot. Fears of a new Navi were wildly misplaced, and she’s very funny. I don’t know, I can’t say I agree with some of the author’s other evaluations of the English…
Purples aren’t really even worth it TBH. General advice is to ignore farming them altogether and just level a few like you’re doing in the meantime till you hit AR40 or 45, whichever one lets you hit the highest level artifact dungeons. Focus on XP books and ascension/weapon mats.
To be clear, the only content you really need to grind for is the endgame Abyss content. You don’t need max-leveled characters for any of the plot. A large chunk of the mandatory grinding in the game revolves around how much you want new characters and doing all the associated events there.
Honestly, me too at first! Love me some Mad Dog McCree.
Civ is the closest thing to this for me, but don't think I've ever gone quite this late.

Yeah I’d love to know what happened here. Why did this dev get singled out?
Aw man these actually did look cool. They'll leak out someday.
Yeah, my brother and I had that conversation about redesigning Mega Man for Metroidvania-style play. Seems like there’s a lot of potential for it baked into the formula. Check out Mega Man Arena if you have lingering affection for MM2+3 and enjoy platform-fighter-like games for another twist on the formula! We have a…
