I unironically love everything about Mega Man 8, including the voice acting. I would’ve loved to see more Mega Man in that style, but for some reason he got retired after that entry for a long, long time.

I have not played the Hollow Knight but the other two are likely in my top 3 as well

Was shocked not to see Celeste anywhere on here. I have played games for 35 years and it is still my favorite of all time.

I have done this so much in the last 2 years. It’s amazing how overwhelming it is just to consider getting involved in this stuff anymore.

Wouldn’t be my number 1, but we had a save-game backup device for GB Color. Used it to backup Pokemon data and reload after trading copies away. Unfortunately ended up with a corrupted Silver file at one point, but it was probably worth it for the time we fielded a friend’s own Pokemon against him.

We had the Satellite, that ridiculous battery guzzler. 4-player World Cup Soccer, Super Spike V-Ball, and Ironman Off-Road Racing were all super-legit.

Ha I think I just sold my Power Plug recently.

Reminds me of buying anime in the late 90s/early 00s...

I loved the combat system so much. Can't bring myself to play the Switch port.

Man this is some huge collector bait. They’ll sell every copy easily.

Summing it up:

This article is a few years old and Faster Melee was already faster in video response than CRTs (though it does lag in audio, oddly):

Ah yes, and fans of chess are just longing for the days of 6th century India.

It was early in the Broadband days a, which came later in the system’s life, and it was a launch title. Maybe it could’ve but the timing was still pretty far off. There were some hacks that actually did get it going online via Phantasy star online of all things but it was terrible.

Then you haven’t read into understanding any of what they’re talking about. Play on emulators via PC is natively more responsive than is possible with a GameCube on CRT play, so given proper network code and a good connection this is quite simple. Every single Melee pro has heartily endorsed this.

This is only true until you start to consider the network effects that tend to prop up tech monopolies, no malice necessary. You want to be where more people go, and it’s very difficult to create a competitor with the massive barriers to entry that network effects create.

My kind of person. It's possible I have done the same thing with a variety of Space Ghost lines

What you say about Kentucky Nightmare, I agree with and also apply to Flipmode.

Yeah I noticed the distinction myself and wondered. Would love another good portable Go game, though there are good android ones that probably have far superior AI anyway.

Both QAnon and Plandemic have already received extensive media coverage over the last few weeks. Information on them is not in short supply, just keep a sane head while reviewing them (if you can, it’s all pretty insane stuff).
