He probably gets more say on the game development phase, but third-party and DLC decisions are strictly business.

Yeah Melee can’t keep up with Ultimate’s character diversity thanks to sheer volume and balance patches, but it’s no slouch. Fox has actually been as dominant lately as I can remember outside of maybe a year or two here and there. He’s never held any kind of grip on the scene at the top level, though, and Armada and

Ehhhhhh...Fox rarely ever even takes half the Top 8 spots.

There are plenty of people not throwing the money in. These games very explicitly thrive off a very small group of people tossing in TONS of money.

For the record, turn-redo is not permitted in multiplayer. Not defending the rest of the pass, but that’s one thing that they made clear.

You do have to buy an antenna though.

I hope you don’t become the victim of an unfair spike!

Not gonna lie I’m buying this and selling an old Switch. Too too good.

Nintendo fixes them for free now. Just put it through their website. Just got three back.

I’d have probably two more Lites in addition to my 2 home systems (have kids) if the licensing was workable, but it’s horrible. Can’t even play two different digital games on two systems I own, not to mention the nightmare of profile and savegame management.

You can’t really say that. Microsoft has been a blistering failure this generation largely on account of their initial launch strategy being awful. Sony had similar failures the generation before, though they did recover in the end. Nintendo also does make strides to make things right, see the recent free Joycon

Ugh Diet Dew is the worst diet drink. Pepsi diets as a whole are terrible. I might actually like this if its biggest problem is “too sweet” though.

Yeah, a privately owned business can scale up and down with demand, but a publicly owned business needs to be all growth all the time whether you really should be growing or not. Their core demo is not coming back, and the fact that they haven’t already pivoted will probably be dooming to current leadership. Really

I’m aware! I just didn’t feel like perusing the comments to check haha.

I’m somehow certain I have posted on this article before, but it is still in my Top 3 all-time. And my all-time is not a list that it dominated by old games, either, there is a good mix.

The joy of anticipation is largely lost on the binging crowd. I'm happy to see some shows starting to go back to the weekly release format recently, like Mandalorian. Having a week to soak up what happened is so beneficial to good shows.

To have Kairi’s training teased for GAMES only to have to do virtually nothing of consequence with it and more or less killing her offscreen before they killed her onscreen was...just horrendous.

Man this is an optimistic reading of III haha. I have long enjoyed me some Kingdom Hearts and have even enjoyed what they’ve done with the story (at least up until DDD’s ending) but III’s wrap-up of the overarching story was incredibly disappointing for all of the reasons you mention in your article and more, and I

Worth noting that EUIV has a Humble Bundle going right now if you REALLY want to get them in. :)

You raise a lot of good points, but I would argue that more varied stories are being told today, and being told better, than they’ve ever been before, and that’s from both large studios and indie studios. Look at games like the new God of War and Celeste. Untitled Goose Game was a 3D Indie game that did just fine on
