As a huge esports advocate, this is the wrong way to go with this. There are very few sports fans out there willing to be won over by video game competition, and you’re trying to to work in concert with the IOC of all people? And you want to run events every 4 years with you’ll often get at least 2 sequels in-between…

I think sometimes you don’t realize a game is a masterpiece until you see how many games fall short years later. It’s easy to miss that in the moment, and presume the sequel/follow-up will always be better.

Chrono Trigger, ALttP, and Super Metroid do not require nostalgia to enjoy. They are masterpieces of video gaming in every sense. Give them a shot through one means or another.

There did used to be some 1-handed Smash side events at majors awhile back. Not sure when the most recent one was.

I’m frankly confused where the progress is. The Agni demo looks better, frankly, as this demo just hits uncanny valley notes left and right. I was really looking forward to seeing where they were going with that tech...and this is the best they have to show us after 7 years? Is this just like, 3 guys in an office…

For what it’s worth, Three Houses has BY FAR the most nuanced character interpretations of any game in the series since at least the Tellius saga in my opinion. They start off like typical Fire Emblem caricatures but every character eventually demonstrates reason and motivation behind their personalities.

The hardware is completely different. If your kids are capable of handing a Game Boy, a Game Boy Advance, a DS Lite, or a 3DS, this should be no different.

That is kind of disappointing. It’s an odd game making decision to encourage exploration and research to determine the facts of a case for which there is no solution.y one objection, otherwise I think it was mostly brilliant!
