My brother has pretty much nothing but good things to say about Gamemaker. He’s got his game out right now, and I’ve been working on a recent content update with him and have no objections as well. Can’t say we’re incredibly well-versed with all of the options out there, though.

It’s been a long time since I’m seen a sports guy so deluded about his own self-importance that it stands out among sports figures.

Makes sense. Honestly, I kind of figured that the best players could play forever, it’s far more intriguing knowing that there is a limit.

So stupid question - is there an end to play, or do they just play until someone is dead and the other passes him? Or both are dead and who has the highest score?

Yeah, I used Snes9X and it worked fine again.

I don’t understand why they would ever trot out this argument. Isn’t it just much more profitable for them to go the route of “sports are a part of the educational experience, and education is socialized for the good of the many?” Almost every major program demonstrably allocates dollars from their big-money sports to

Yeah 90% is just way too high to be a coincidence. It’s absolutely impossible for that to happen randomly, if he’s not exaggerating. Heck, a 10% overlap would be pretty shocking. Translations aren’t just “let’s just go word for word and replace them with an equivalent.”

It’s not about the fact that you can wait. It’s about the fact that they have to pay people for another six months to make the game. That’s the unacceptable part.

On that note, I have really enjoyed your Smash coverage! Helps me keep up now that I’m an old man.

Our cats have that problem. Since we downgraded to a 3-room apartment, it’s actually impacted my wife’s sleep. :/

Welp. This was exactly my fear. I’d never played the mobile version, but it sounded like it completely ruined what made the gameplay of the original so special. Difficult for many players, it seems, but so, so unique and rewarding.

So true. When I heard about the mobile version’s mechanics, I just...couldn’t reconcile what the game would lose. It was such a brilliant use of two-screen gameplay, never imitated, never duplicated. Ugh.

2010 ain’t much better.

I wrote off my money a long time ago as a worthy experiment, given the names involved, but yeah, I’m too old for a Space MMO so give me all this single-player content and as far as I’m concerned, my investment has paid off.

I don’t care about Star Citizen proper anymore, but this 1-player mode, this has my attention now.

Meh, I started using Ranch on fries at Chick Fil A over 10 years ago and have never looked back. Some places have terrible ranch, though, gotta stick with ketchup then. Burger King’s is awful.

Good rule, but anymore...good luck. :/

If you’re doing that, you’re not who this day is for.

At some point I want to believe there will be a backlash against pay-for-progress games. But I don’t see it coming anytime soon.

It actually is part of their strategy. They purposefully rotate things out on a schedule of some kind, in part for the reasons you say, and in part because it makes everything in the store subject to the “for a limited time only!” buying phenomenon. They don’t rotate everything, but it works anyway because you don’t
