Costco had a good knockoff a month ago or so, but we just went back this week and it was gone. Sigh.

Regular reminder: It’s not the NCAA’s fault that there’s no market-based system in the United States where players can go to be paid. If you care so much about them having that opportunity, put your money where your mouth is and go to more G-League games. Otherwise, be careful what you wish for regarding the NCAA’s

Yes, but does it run WELL? I put it on my 3DS and it couldn’t even run the built-in SNES emulator. Maybe I don’t know how to configure my settings right, always feel like I’m one step away from screwing something up on my PC too.

Believe it or not, not everyone thinks that way.

I mean, it’s not like a 100% voting rate should even be considered an inherent good, either. I used to be one of those people trumpting that everyone should vote, but hey, if you’re not going to educate yourself on issues or take the time to consider any perspectives outside your own, then I’m fine with you not

Right, this isn’t an example of “we’re doing it wrong, and now we’re going to do it right.” There are complex series of criteria in play and no one’s going to absolutely agree on what those “right” criteria are. It’s oversimplifying the issue.

To be fair, the Colts are a borderline enough team that going for it is probably the right call in the long game too. You could make the case that they probably needed the win to make the playoffs, and will take the loss to improve draft position if they don’t.

This is the same kind of thing that ruined Madden’s franchise mode for me back a few years ago, the “video gamization” of real-life things like player progression. All of a sudden I’ve got to spend garbage time throwing around TDs to every receiver or they’ll never get the “XP” they need to raise their “skill points.”

And the rules and mechanics of the game itself lend to more randomness than most sports, too. It’s one thing to have a baseball bounce 6 inches beyond the 2nd baseman’s glove for a single, it’s another entirely to have a bouncing fumble roll straight to other other team, or a CB slip on a loose piece of turf and give

Smash Brothers says hi. It is doing just fine with DLC vs in-game content balance.

I’m glad you’ve grown, but I’m also really sick of the narrative that we all deserve to be lumped into your behavioral group. Some of us made better choices (attribute it to better upbringing if you like, but we did) and have a continuous life story of striving to be empathetic, and we suffer now for others’ mistakes.

Facetious or not, you’re not wrong!

Yeah, I found it very tacky when I flipped on ESPN radio and it’s all they were talking about and replaying for several minutes before I flipped it off. Not cool at all.

This is always my only hold-up on breakfast. Love me some good breakfast food but it really sets you back on the calorie budget for the rest of the day. Can’t get out of any fast-food breakfast with less than 500 calories.

And how are these frames counted? I’m always confused how they stop the timers on runs for this and other games. And to that end, how does it measure the stage breaks?

I could care less if someone considers it a sport. It’s irrelevant and has no bearing on its overall growth and popularity. What is entertaining is how artificial the definitions become whenever this comes up. You yourself pose no consistent definition that aligns with all of your examples. Under your initial

100 apm is an incredibly low estimate. :)

As someone who aged out of my relatively minor esports career, let me assure you that the hands must indeed be very well trained to a level of endurance that most people don’t appreciate. You don’t have to breathe hard to physically exert oneself when you’re doing 500 actions per minute with precision and accuracy.

Nice article on a side of the business most people probably never knew existed!

Well shoot, I definitely forgot about Pokemon Bank altogether over the last couple years and all my Pokemon are probably dead now.
