I agree. I’m sure the plaintiffs lawyer will take 20%-40% on a contingency basis, then the sum will be 1099ed so Uncle Sam gets his cut, so that trims things down quite a bit. I’m guessing this will settle for much less, but I see your point about the nature of litigation and the expense our legal system has

Probably someone who went to law school for at least one day told you that.

Tough one. One the one hand, there are a lot of hotheads in NASCAR who intentionally wreck others, shake their fists and toss their helmets at the passing car (under caution), and Tony Stewart is one of the hottest heads out there.

Maybe he does. One could hope.

Dammit, I’ll thank you now. I usually use Guinness in my beef stew, but this one looks much tastier. I will need to try this on a day when I have the time. It looks like it might have a 2hr smoke time and a 3 hour braise time, but that sure sounds delicious.

Well now I have to try smoking a chuck roast; the rump roast wasn’t very good (probably too lean and not enough marbling). Up until a year ago, I only used chuck roast for stew. Now I’m discovering that it’s good as a roast and delicious for stir-fry.

I enjoy planks of the cedar or alder variety, but I suppose exercise planks are better for me health. I’ll admit they were a lot easier to do 10 years ago when I was 30lbs less, but you gotta start somewhere.

Thanks for doing this. I screwed up a $90 standing rib roast a few years ago. My family said they loved it, but I think they were just in the Xmas spirit. I roasted it, but I failed to account for the continuing cooking (heat rise) during resting after I removed it from the oven...it was 30% pink and I will sous

Incremental progress? It could always be worse....and just when it can’t get any worse, we are all screwed.

Wow. You get a star for saving me a lot of keystrokes!

With all the cheating in cycling going on right now I wouldn’t be surprised to see 60+MPH on a motorized bicycle.

Would love a ported version of Burnout 3: Takedown, but so far the only way to play seems to be PS2 and Xbox.

I have a large gauze of Quick-Clot after watching Marky-Mark use it in the movie “Shooter.” Typically you want to apply pressure and elevate the wound above the heart to reduce blood flow.

Sort of. It’s suggested under cruising, which I interpret as zero to very little acceleration. I tend to gear coast in a higher gear when I’m not longer trying to increase vehicle speed, but you have to mentally be prepared to downshift when you want to gain speed.

Sure sounds like some people should be going to prison or at least jail over this. Taking advantage of some of the most vulnerable people is quite despicable, and they are destroying lives and futures in the process. No doubt they are committing fraud and such transactions should be reviewed to see if they are even

I applaud you. I don’t take issue with a business making money, but I do take issue with businesses preying on the most vulnerable thereby negatively impacting their already difficult lives.

Kinda looks like a blend of a Subaru Crossrek/Mazda CX-5/FJ Cruiser/Jeep Compass. It’ll probably sell like hotcakes, though I’d never buy one.

Sure looks like a lot of fun. Snow seems to be the great equalizer where more power doesn’t really mean too much. Traction and balance makes for a more predictable slide. I remember sliding around in a snow covered parking lot (with no parking bumps or light poles) in a friend’s modified 350Z turbo. Lots of power,

Yes, I saw a few V8 manuals with 60K for about $62K two years ago. I believe the prices are ticking up as I haven’t seen one in decent shape for under $70K. Most of the one’s I’m seeing are either pampered R8s asking for $80K or high-miled rentals that seemed a little worn for $64K. I’ve been considering one for a

My wife and I refer to store-bought muffins simply as cake. They are far too sweet and oily to be called muffins. Sure they are in the shape of a muffin, bit we’re not fooled by their appearance. Costco muffin....or Costco cake?
