Depends on the type of female protagonist. I’ve it’s a female version of Trevor the incels would want to marry it probably.

Not too surprising considering Starlink should be earning them quite some cash as well. A quick google search shows there’s about 1,5 million starlink users. Seeing a dish sets you back $500, that’s a onetime 750 million and then at $100 subscription they earn 150 million a month on it (note that it’s probably higher

ONLY a gigantic concrete structure (which would get blasted into the muck) can keep this from being an “Every launch” type of event” Judging by the sheer amount of steel rebar and the 200-ish cement trucks supporting this water deluge system that has been seen going into that pad I think they are on the right track.

Whacky CEO aside... You can’t really compare an operational rocket from Rocket Lab (38 laucnhes, 3 failures) with a prototype that is going through iterative design. At least compare it with the Falcon 9 then with Falcon 9 first-stage boosters landed successfully in 206 of 217 attempts (94.9%), with 178 out of 183

I wouldn’t call them a rival seeing they are in a completely different league in terms of mass to orbit if you compare the Electron with the Falcon 9. Maybe in a few years when they get their Neutron rocket up and running you can say they are in the same ballpark.

And unlike Oceangate, Virgin can’t launch it from international waters to avoid certain rules that have been put in place to avoid accidents such as what happened last week. The FAA would have a field day then.

None of the parts of Starship are going to land on a barge but are caught again by the launch tower. At least that’s the plan in the future. The first few tests they are going to just land them in the ocean.

While that amount surely is big you do have to realize that Earth is huge and orbits are even bigger. Not all these satellites are on the same altitude and orbits. On top of that, a chunk of these are in a graveyard orbit that’s way up high.

I doubt they would have to test the FTS inflight. It’s not like testing an escape system like they did with Dragon midlfight. You could pressurize tank on the ground and test the FTS there. If the tank collapses on the ground than for sure it will with aerodynamic forces. Luckily SpaceX has a lot of spares lying

Everyone from a mile away can see that a 2025 deadline has a low chance of being met. Such is rocket science. It would be more uncommon if a rocket launches without delays. That being said, SpaceX does iterate very fast and I am more confident that they will have less delays than for example launching the Artemis 2

That is actually a good indicator that is a star that is closeby as in in our own galaxy. Notice how the galaxies in the images do not have this artifact.

Gotta love orbital mechanics that if you miss your window, it could add YEARS to your mission.

Once a base is established, people would be able to launch small payloads into lunar orbit with some sort of maglev/railgun. Would instantly solve the issue of kicking up dust for getting of the moon at least.

But the exhaust would still kick up dust simply due to a force being exerted on it although I guess it would be less.

I would be curious to see how a live action Treasure Planet would turn out. And I know it’s not Disney but Titan AE as a live action movie or series might have some potential.

So if the table breaks because you put too much weight on it (come on those things are flimsy as hell and never level to begin with), you would just headbutt the chair in front of you? That would be pretty hilarious to see.

I really wouldn’t want to be one of the astronauts that is going to fly in this thing. What I really don’t get is how with all the bad things that has been going on with Boeing in the past years, its stock price went up about 50% in the past year alone.

The guy does have Aspergers though. Kinda explains how he lives in his own little universe which he rules. Not to defend him but if you follow everything the guy says on a bird app without thinking and just throw money at something that is unregulated, you kinda dug your own grave.
