Anyone with a minimal knowledge of Smash’ history knew that Ultimate was going to sell like hotcakes. The people that laughed at what you said simply had no clue.

You mean mostly the same fucking games that were on the Wii U that people were too stupid to buy for whatever fucking reason?

Thanks for coming on the podcast, Stephen! Glad I could geek out with another Pikmin fan. I truly hope the series returns within the next year or so. And I hope everyone checks out Challenger Approaching. I’ve had a great time researching each episode and talking to all my special guests.

Tell me about it. This was kind of a life saver in one of my darkest periods (failing school, no job, debt to my ears, chronic illness, shoot me).

Phantasy star online, is truly one of the most beautiful things any game company has ever created. There’s really nothing else like it.

it really is. its just such a nice, peaceful vibe. and the more direct play makes it feel more fun than the sims. but this games series helped big time when i had a really unpleasant layoff, its good to see how much it affects others.

I’d prefer the 3DS to have a successor that maintains the dual screens over just considering the Switch a successor myself. That touch screen being a custom UI for most games solved one of the biggest issues of mobile gaming, the screen getting cluttered with UI.

Yeah it’s kinda similar, like Tera or Blade and Soul. Seems to be the current norm for Korean MMOs. It’s a shame that all these games are just copying that style instead of going further with it. I long for the day when we get an mmo with Dark Souls style combat.

I played a bit of this game trying to scratch the same itch.

Unless they’ve changed it - it is very PVP centric, and not many pve elements.  To my knowledge there is really no PVE end game/raids/dungeons.  I am admittedly not up to date, though.  This is based on info from the summer.  Which is about the time I decided I probably wasn’t interested.  I love me some PVP, but I

There is nothing that can scratch the PSO itch, that is not called PSO (if you find one please let me know), unfortunately. However, the combat mechanics in BDO are very fluid and more in line with ARPG than they are with something like wow. Most attacks create chains and combat is very fluid, fast and clean.

It is combo based combat. The PC version was really pay to win, I have multiple friends who spent thousands of dollars just to be competitive.

Came here to ask the same(ish) question: Is it good tho?

Same. Seems unfair for Nintendo to give up on that before trying the paid model.

Thanks. I put that on my wish list. We'll see how it turns out

Same. I ordered one. Hopefully it has less lag than the Wavebird.

Yeah, but if you wanted to pet the cat you would have to observe the cat for five minutes, mask any hostile looking movements, creep up to it slowly, double check to make sure it’s a Pristine Quality Cat (you don’t want to pet Poor Quality ones) find the cat’s Happy Petting Spot, and then finally proceed to pet the

I see what you’re saying, i guess, but I absolutely love both the movement system and the somewhat opaque systems at play. It feels good that not everything is completely knowable and that sometimes things happen that don’t particularly make sense. One of the witnesses that saw your gunfight coulda been all “Dictata
