Retro Pi with a NES housing shouldn’t be too difficult to muster.

Why has the 2D Metroidvania been relegated to the indie scene? Surely the genre is still popular enough to support something from a mainstream publisher? Is Nintendo not willing to accept that the problems with Other M weren’t its gameplay?

I’m notta Chibi art style fan but i’ll at least give it a shot. Maybe the gameplay is irresistibly tight?

Then I hope you look forward to never having another Metroid release, because realistically that’s what will happen.

That has definitely been my concern with Federation Force as soon as it was announced... after the critical flop of Other:M I think that Nintendo isn’t confident in Samus and Metroid, so I worry that this game is meant to be a sort of “test” to see if the franchise still has legs. And if it doesn’t sell, it could mean

I honestly hope this game does well just to prove to Nintendo that people want to see Metroid around for decades to come.

How many of those old consoles give you the BSOD or ring of death! My Atari was left in the garage for probably 15 years. My dad found it and asked me if it still worked. I plugged it in and it didn’t. Got a new adapter and it worked like a dream.

Yeah, all of Sega’s systems LOOKED fantastic. My favorites are the SMS (that black with the deep maroonish red system diagram made it look like some sort of wicked high tech), original Genesis and the Saturn.

If somebody photoshopped out the logos and the controller and told me that was the prop for Case’s cyberdeck from the Neuromancer film that’s been in development hell for decades, I’d believe them.

this was my vote too. However the PS4 does look REALLY slick. Honestly the Xbox One S looks very nice as well if not a little utilitarian.

Its funny its getting this praise now days as being underrated. I played it a ton when it came out but never really liked it. It had so many problems that I (unlike many apparently) actually felt were fixed with Resident Evil 6. That isn’t to say Resident Evil 6 is a good Resident Evil game. But I feel it is a way

For me it was Phantasy Star Online for Dreamcast and Original Xbox. I spent THOUSANDS of hours on that game, and I can’t for the life of me tell you why, other than I had such a blast playing it. Simple and fun.

Don’t worry guys, developer said that Pokemon Go will come to 200 countries. So everyone will get Pokemon Go. By the way in the World exist only 195 countries. It probably means that Pokemon Go will even be available outside Earth for some aliens too.

Now playing

Used to love the PS3 Wipeout Fury theme, it was awesome:

I love how quick and snappy they are. So much better than most actual brand treatments.

This is the only post anyone from the Commerce Team has written about Overwatch having played it. This is not part of Kotaku Editorial.

Ahh, the one control scheme I will miss from this generation of consoles onwards: aim mechanics that’s as close to accurate to a m&kb setup as possible. I’ve tried adapting to a dual stick setup for FPS/TPS, but it just doesn’t work for me.

The Wii version was the superior one because of the motion control.

The 2009 Ghostbusters game isn’t perfect, but damn if it isn’t fun. I think of it (and obviously I’m not the only one who does) as Ghostbusters 3, and I still play it every now and then because bustin’ makes me feel good. It’s a great time. And the multiplayer was pretty awesome, too.
