It would kick so much ass if this show went balls deep off the deep-end and started doing crazy sci-fi shenanigans. At the very least, it would give the Internet more examples to call TBBT inferior to Community.

I like how The Cleveland Show is tagged. As if to snub it to Cleveland fans by sending them a notification. "We at the AV Club hope you're happy."

I don't know about dark, but it was disturbing: That episode where Bill became a bodybuilder and prolapsed his rectum lifting weights. For Christ's sake.

We drove 2,000 miles for this?

"OH MY GOD IT'S SO JUICY!"

So… are ya Chinese or Japanese?

"Joseph likes to watch."

Surprised…

That episode deserved an Emmy, damn it!

South Park comes off as if it's written by college libertarians who take the Horseshoe Theory seriously. South Park's formula for what it calls satire:

STILL LOVE YOU, HOMAR.

Ah, Simpsons, always one-upping The Cleveland Show.

Ted 2 is the center slice of a square cheese pizza. Actually, that sounds delicious. I'm the center slice of a square cheese pizza. Ted 2 is Jim Belushi.

"THAT'S GOTTA HURT!"

Yeah, I kinda like that one. Fun fact for AV Clubbers: There's a joke where Homer says he and Ray "finish each other's sandwiches". If there were ever any definitive proof for the "Simpsons did it" axiom, it's the fact that one of the Arrested Development jokes in Frozen originated on The Simpsons first.

I always confused the scene where Bart meets Alfred E. Newman with the episode where the Navi uses Bart's boy band to blow up MAD headquarters. Although the fact they they named the latter episode after Newman's awful "New Kids on the Blecch!" pun from this episode is pretty hilarious. Maybe they'll eventually write

Although the way many OG* fans are ranting, you'd think those 6 shorts were the golden era and this is the series' zombiefication. I eagerly await the arrival of Dead Golan Society.

Yeah, the jokes are still pretty hit and miss, but overall, I really enjoy the atmosphere of this show. I hope it stays on long enough to flesh out and find its groove.

That is exactly what happened.
