It is indeed...but your bracketing is a bit off.
I've seen over-application of the "valid reason for each and every person to be there" leading to people who should have been in a meeting being excluded, which is the problem stated in the same article with hallway meetings. So I think there should at least be a counter-point: consider who may be a stakeholder of the…
Kind of related to obvious road signs, I hate the misuse of highway onramp signs that I see around here in California. There are two signs
Yeah, seriously. I was shopping for a small 1/2 ton truck recently. I ended up with a 20 year old Toyota Hilux ("Pickup" or "Truck" here in the US); they're pretty common at least in the San Francisco and Los Angeles areas. There's also the old Ford Ranger, Chevy S-10 and first generation Toyota Tacoma (but be careful…
The interrobang, "‽", is preferred but the combination, "?!", is acceptable. I actually think it's OK in some cases to use extra question or exclamation marks for emphasis (e.g. to express levels of confusion or shock, respectively) but that things of this sort tend to be overused. I'd say it's probably a style thing,…
I went to the auction (a car was beyond my budget but I won lot 190—posters, clocks, calendars; mostly Vespa). I really enjoyed looking at all those amazing microcars, so it's unfortunate they won't continue to be on display in one place; but hopefully the new owners will honor Mr Weiner's request to continue to share…
Isetta "Whatta Drag", originally a Hot Wheels toy, Bruce Weiner had a full scale version built with a real Isetta body; it actually runs thanks to that V8 hanging out the back but I don't know if it's ever actually been drag raced.
What I've been hearing is that it's only closing because the owner got bored of owning all those microcars (he seems to be more interested in the process of collecting). I think he's going to continue collecting (maybe microcars, maybe something else, and maybe opening a new museum).
I really like my $3k Toyota Truck. It doesn't have any door dings. Should I park it across two spots to keep it that way?
NOBODY expects the Mercedes CLA! Our chief option is a sunroof...a sunroof and rear spoiler...rear spoiler and a sunroof.... Our two options are a rear spoiler and sunroof...and leather seats.... Our *three* options are a rear spoiler, sunroof, and leather seats...and an almost fanatical devotion to the Pope.... Our…
Better safe than dead. Keep the rubber side down.
Aaaaagh! That Multipla! What have they done?
I've similarly thought that some sports cars would work well as economy cars if they had smaller engines; light weight and aerodynamic, more so than most economy cars.
I like to say "I don't know how to drive an automatic." And it's true, to an extent, because I always forget things like flooring it for a downshift acceleration.
Isetta has its steering U-joint inside the cabin; BMW 600 has TWO steering U-joints inside the cabin.
I don't know...looks kind of like one of the tanks in an old vector graphics game called Spectre.
Anyone planning to object, hoping for a better settlement or having this go to court?
Why not?
