Not sure what annoys me more: the idea that randos applauding something they enjoy is somehow worthy of derision, or that tracking the amount of time festival goers applaud “important” films is deemed valuable.

For what it’s worth: compulsive lying, constantly shifting narratives, contradictory accounts, narcissistic/self-loathing tendencies, burning bridges, alienating everyone around you etc... are all textbook indicators of childhood trauma and abuse. And Shia ticks off every single one, and more.

I think so, also the first NC-17 films that only has “Some sexual content” as it’s tagline ...(14 yr old me would be disappointed) ...I swear I’ve seen PG-13 films with more gruesome details for its rating.

I keep trying to finish it on HBO Max, but can’t remember the plot, the characters, or where I left off, so I just start watching randomly at different points until I fall asleep. I’m assuming this is how Nolan expected me to watch it.
