I was curious how Nurse Amy even got cast in that role. With The Eye it seems like he could've been sucked in with a kind of "area of effect" mental absorption deal, then Lenny decided he was evil enough to be granted a henchman spot, but with Amy it seems like none of her personality is coming through.

We've got lots of time on TV. I'm okay with both, but it's more likely a question of "how much time would those actors give" rather than "how will we split the time between those actors".

It's interesting how they're playing the parentage thing. Several actors have openly identified the parent(s) in interviews without hesitation, whereas things like "what the fuck is Aubrey Plaza's character anyway?" they/she has been really cagey about (for good reason, of course).

Something to do with most of them still stuck in the psych ward under the watchful eye of Dr. Lenny and her minions, but Syd has been isolated in a different way, out of her direct attention.

Based on interviews that seems like her natural style, and it works well, and she's probably most comfortable with it. Even within that zone she can find great variations. But yeah - this is just going way beyond anything before and it's awesome.

Can you tell me more about the "consult with others" thing? I hadn't heard that - mainly just heard the "written for a man, then Aubrey came in and they gave it to her anyway" story in interviews :)

If you add an exclamation mark next time, you can retroactively claim that your outrage was so over the top it was clearly sarcastic!

George Lucas made Greedo shoot first. Just remember this the next time you wanna use "creator said so", you scum :P

I'm basically just taking the perspective that in a life this heightened, anything that should be normal, isn't. Feeling fucked up in normal situations is practically the definition of a mental disorder, so it makes sense they'd use similar techniques to deal with it. In this case it stems from the situation not the

He doesn't Stan a chance.

"Caring" is not the same as "gonna flip out if it ever happens." You're supposed to care about your kid's life.

P.S. You may need to take him out for us at the end of the season when he gets off the leash.

I love a guy where the butt is an afterthought to the shampoo spread :)

"Dragging" doesn't mean "not enough explosions", it means that the tensions or character beats that are supposed to make a dramatic scene interesting aren't as resonant as they could be. The digging scene last week was pretty gripping even in silence. Elizabeth driving around in Illinois, maybe not as much. But of

Me neither. Yet I did think "shouldn't you knock before opening a teenage boy's bedroom door?" Such a double standard…

I'm holding out hope y'all are overthinking this. She could just be a person who will develop an interesting relationship with Stan and friends-by-association with the Jennings. Sandra didn't have to be a spy to be a good character.

He finally seems to be enjoying life now that he's given up on seeking company in the arms of other FBI employees!

Whereas IMDB lists one of Tuan's "known for"s as "Salsa Basement Party"! (Also Tuan is played by a guy named Ivan. Couldn't be better named.)

For some reason I just imagined Martha misremembering his advice and staring at her own nose during the entire interrogation, and now in my mind that scene really had her cross-eyed the entire time, and it was hilarious.

"See honey? I'm 6 inches deep but we barely even notice!"
