It's creepy as hell because while she's being the right level of smug, David's smug level is off the charts and you know this is actually a terrifying harbinger of things to come.

I completely agree yet I can't help but feel a little offended on behalf of the show whenever it's pointed out. It's just working SO WELL that your brain rejects the old memor…wait a second.
In a different episode I could've totally seen Lenny interrupting David with her own banjo versa, haha. This week though…she's a little less playful.
Sadly, the shadows did not run from themselves.
I agree Marsai really nailed this one. Personally I also thought all the actors in the C-plot made that it much better than it deserved to be - smug Junior is always hilarious, and Jenifer Lewis goes without saying. Although after she put that card on her head, I was really hoping she'd head-bash the table with it…
"And she learned to read! Almost!"
I got the vague sense at the protest scene that maybe some of the onlookers could've been genuinely interested in the cause, if only she wasn't quite so over the top with it. Ultimately the story was focused on her, Diane and one antagonist and there just wasn't enough room in the episode to make the movement deeper.
Have we ever seen a family in their ad campaigns that wasn't black or white? For the family stories and even the random workplace discussions it makes sense, but you'd think there'd be more of a conscious effort for touching all the demographics in their published work.
Yeah, when you call it "great" in the first line I'm surprised by a B-. B- or even solid B is more "average". I'm sure we all have our own subjective scale though. (Cs: "mediocre" below C: "poor/awful")
I wouldn't trust her farther than I could throw her under Earth grav, but she can run point on my docking sequence any day.
It's called an homage, dammit!
Astonishingly, the hemoglobin experiments to figure this one are not yet at the top of the ISS mission list :)
If it just generally hyper-focuses your mind, it doesn't really need two flavors. It's just a flavor that goes well with lunch AND dinner :)
Just what I'd expect from Captain AMERICA, an EARTHER nation.
Wow. Wowie wow.
There's enough English in there it would actually feel a little silly to subtitle it, even though it would definitely clarify some lines. A nice line to straddle :)
As Motard mentioned, I definitely heard "pense" in there a couple times basically meaning "what you think?", coming from French "penser", in this week's episode :)
If the season doesn't end with someone yelling IT'S MILLER TIME as they head into glorious self-sacrifice I'm going to be supremely disappointed.
That bit about even their sense of time coming from their oppressors was bitchin'. (SORRY REAL EARTH, I STILL LOVE YOU)
Troyzan!
