The warp bubble shrinking and the people disappearing were separate things. The people disappeared first because Beverly's mind creates the universe (okay…) and she was thinking about people disappearing. Later, the universe started disappearing because the warp bubble was collapsing.

I loved that too, but the one that got me on this rewatch was the "this should be obvious but I'll say it anyway", only-barely-apologetic delivery of "Tyler would so touched that you're here. …Well, not you Brad." (And Wayans totally cements it with his quiet, respectful nod "of course".)

That was terrible, and I love you for it.
