I think they’re frustrated, and some are straight up resentful, that black people didn’t side with Bernie in 2016 and look like they may not side with him in 2020, but they know that voicing that would shatter the efforts they’ve made to paint their end of the progressive movement as adhering to intersectionality.

But if they don’t grow up, then there can’t be a reunion show in 20 years where all the characters have to come back and stop the Upside Down from intruding on the world once and for all.

I mean, up until now, it was easy to imagine Kellyanne going home and living with the dissonance of working for the Trump administration and having George Conway as her husband.  But to the extent the President is going to start trying to drag their marriage into the fray, it seems like that might be a bit much to let

They can’t kill Steve, right? Right? RIGHT GUYS!?!?!?!?!?!

For the last fucking time, I’m not saying it makes him great, I’m saying that when evaluating alternatives, Manchin is infinitely better than any other viable options.

As dumb as that op-ed is I can’t imagine that many U.K. officials or business people are actually all that concerned with it. If this op-ed is like a leak on a boat, then Brexit is like the waterfall that the boat is steadily drifting towards with no oar.

I’m talking about Trump getting 68% of the vote.  Manchin won on name recognition and moderate politics.

No.  States that go 68% for a candidate do not flip easily.

The ACA isn’t as good as universal healthcare. Wow you’re so smart to be able to point that out! Have a cookie!

His appointment by Trump notwithstanding, Barr’s a very competent attorney, who likely would be worried about firing Rosenstein dragging him personally into the crossfire down the road.

Oh, you must be the privileged-enough-to-not-need-the-benefits-of-the-ACA-that-still-exist type. Well bully for you, you privileged fuck.

If we ever have the consensus necessary to eliminate the EC, eliminating the EC is going to be an afterthought to all the other things that a 2/3rds majority of the country being in agreement about something so controversial in 2019 is going to be doing with such a commanding mandate.

if he’s just voting with the gop all the time.

if he’s just voting with the gop all the time.

But look at the story of the HFC over the long run.

Of course it was a white nationalist movement, but Obama’s not some rando on Twitter or Kinja. He’s the fucking President. In the context of this article, that means he can’t just go and order an investigation of Tea Party movement organizations unless he’s got probable cause to assume they are actively plotting some

But the far more fundamental problem is the nature of these attacks in 2019. Look at the New Zealand shooter. There’s no indication that he had broader institutional support in planning and carrying out this attack. People wind up radicalized by these institutions without these institutions then engaging in the actual

Yes, they do and the FBI has prosecuted numerous Atomwaffen members for attacks, both perpetrated and planned.

Yes, really, name a specific Tea Party group that plotted a terroristic attack that President Obama didn’t call terroristic?

I view “Diversity and Inclusion” voluntary corporate drives with the same skepticism I do “Corporate Social Responsibility”. I’m sure some of the people involved in these types of movements are well meaning, but ultimately the business ain’t doing those things because it wants to be doing them.
