it’s the ‘feel things’ part that really surprises me the most, I think. Now, I’m no stranger to getting teary eyed at all sorts of odd things, but the characters on the Good Place make me feel like cheering aloud for them. It makes me think - “huh, this is what people who cheer for sports teams must feel like.”…
Obviously this was Carden's showcase and she was great but I also really appreciated how Danson played Michael's growing realization that the system may be even more broken than he suspected.
(Accidently posted this in another thread - reposting here as this is where I intended to post it originally)

D’Arcy Carden as Jason as Eleanor was SPOT ON
Yeah, sure sounds horrible. I’d hate to be in either one of their shoes, but if requested I would, but it sounds horrible. Really horrible.
So from the tvline article/ interview about this, D’Arcy Carden found her kissing scene with Kristen Bell to be not very sexy, since while smooching they had to be all pressed up against each other, for an extended time ... yeah that uh doesn’t sound sexy at all (fans self)
Josh the Marxist box is hands down my favorite new character. This is has been a great season!
Bezos’ look and way he communicates are based on the aliens from the original Star Trek pilot, “The Cage”.
A little less than 20 years ago, a still-finding-its-legs South Park aired a memorable episode called “Gnomes,” which focused both on the omnipresence of Starbucks Coffee (named Harbucks in the episode), as well as little gnomes that steal your underpants in the night, with their ultimate goal being “profit.” That…
Boxleitner being the President tacitly approving a growing anti-alien fascist movement would be a fun wink at his role on Babylon 5 if intentional. If he doesn’t go crazy and try to blow up the Earth with its own defence platforms, I’ll be sorely disappointed.
The fact that they got Bruce to play another president is one of the things tempting me to come back to the show.
Or, seeing as he’s Bruce Boxleitner, President TRON.
I would disagree about Winn. I think Brainy is much better. Winn’s humor just felt too forced much of the time. Brainy’s learning to be human and blend in thing works much more naturally.
“In retrospect, it makes sense that more than one person would have run the Collinwood 5k.”
It’s not just you! On the glasses bit I kinda wanted them to go further and have her zip back just as they started to drop out of frame. Phones are expensive and those glasses were built by her earth dad after all!
I’m relieved that they didn’t drag out the Ben Lockedwood-is-Agent-Liberty reveal any longer. In fact this was the perfect time to do it, and I appreciated the show using it specifically as a pivot point for the season.
Only one response to that, Xample1:
This is the first time I’ve really watched AMC since the end of Mad Men and the commercials for other AMC shows are ludicrous. I’m glad they’re taking risks that led to great shows like The Terror, but one of those looks like a parody of a SyFy reject and the other is named ‘McMafia’ which is clearly a working title…
