I’m looking forward to her writing. She certainly can’t hurt it, at an establishment that employs Bret “BS” Stephens.

Everyone here has seen better singing from worse people. For now, I’m just gonna smile and chuckle a bit.

...you can think I’m a troll all you want - child mental well-being isn’t a joke. Just please don’t do that incredibly dumb thing IRL.

No. Married and a legal adult, with friends who have issues.

Okay.

Because that’s not how child development works. Actually doing that would be a source of trauma, and likely lead to problems down the line.

They flourish within it, I assure you.

...Ray comment or response to Monique? I’ll cop to complete and illogical babbling in the former (and I deserve what I get for it), but I put thought into the latter.

...Then you are far more idealistic than I can be, now. Don’t let it slip away.

Eh. Fine.

It would get attention on The Root, though! And through BLM! And in the Black social medias! I’m not suggesting it because I’m naive, I’m suggesting it because I’m pretty much broken from seeing the world not change - realistically.

That, and ‘no i wouldn’t’ aren’t the same thing.

That’s a lot of harassing, and I don’t see what it would accomplish towards justice for Stephon Clark.

...I’m kinda disgusted that I have to bring this up, but remember this? Rooo wasn’t there for it.

No, my original complaint is that weddings are sacrosanct, and that’s something I say at length on the other post. This set of quotes was a response to someone else’s (Monique’s) take on the incident, not so much the incident itself; they’re two different things to me.

Backyard. And, you raise an entirely separate, equally worrisome question.

...no, it’s a reference to the weird-ass cultural appropriation Kinja engages in, when every site here prefers not to traffic in that.

They aren’t, though that’s not why I have reservations about protesting a murder at a wedding. But why bring up peaceful protest? Why that tangent?

Did you watch the video? Because I don’t remember (and really don’t feel like going through all that again) how they acted after the killing.

Here’s my secret: maybe a teaspoon of yellow mustard and dash of dried chopped onions per can of tuna. Tasty, fast, ingredients keep forever. Use whole wheat or grainier bread, with a couple of slices of cheddar to give it some extra flavor.
