I think the more pressing concern is the tiles. As the shuttle showed us, those damn things are fragile and love to fall off. A manageable risk on a 2-week LEO mission but flying to the Moon/Mars, landing, sitting around for weeks or months, taking off again, THEN re-entering? That’s a little ambitious.
