You’re assuming a clean, clean, paved path to walk on. You’re also assuming the author wasn’t tired from working odd hours or a physical injury/disability or that he walked more slowly because of cheap shoes.

TBH, the one time I do notice is when they’re paying with WIC, because it’s such a stupid, complicated process, and takes forever.
It’s Calvinism. If anyone should be cursed down to hell, it’s that bastard and his supporters.
Add to it that there used to be a lot more physical offices, but the rise of the internet combined with tax cuts has made getting access that much more difficult. If, like me, you have easy accessible internet access it’s NBD, but the people most likely to need these services don’t have that access.
Because they don’t have the time, energy or money for an uprising. If your entire focus is on minutiae because your survival requires it, what can you spare for the big picture. Capitalism has thrived on keeping an underclass incapacitated by survival needs.
Some of my ancestors were among the first settlers in Maine. They killed Indians. Indians killed them. A couple fought in the Seven Years War. You can’t change history; all you can do is learn from it.
I've actually been really happy that, so far, I've only found one slave owner in my ancestry. In the census, a widow was recorded to have one adult male slave and one child. Every time I check a census and there's no entry under the slave column, I'm a bit happier.
My belief is that if your ancestors have been here since the 19th century, the odds of you being of one racial descent is about zero.
Are we related?
I think that could be the future, not standard theaters, although the ones in the middle class suburbs still seem to be doing well enough, but the rise of theaters as an evening’s entertainment, not just one aspect of it.
I lived there, out in the sticks.
It may be the longest running joke in Northern California:
I couldn't find the clip from Rick and Morty were Jerry thinks he's holding a gun, but it's actually a penis replacement.
Besides being a slut and a whore, you've now murdered your baby, so off to Hell for you.
That’s the same reason it’s so much harder for women to get sterilized than for men. The wommin’s little heads just can’t hold all the sciency stuff that sterilization = no more babies. I even got that BS at Planned Parenthood. Yes, I'm chronically depressed. No, I will never change my mind about having kids. Don't…
I fricking hate the fingernails scene in Juno.
That was the same area where a school district was going to have a class on Biblical history, which, of course, was just a cover to teach the Bible. Thank the gods au.org stepped in.
If you get a chance, watch 12th & Delaware. It’s a documentary about an abortion clinic that has a CPC across the street. It’s disgusting how the abortion clinic employees can’t even risk going outside to direct patients in, because it could be considered soliciting, while the CPC and their affiliated priest will…
As much as I hate sometimes living in this drought-plagued, tech billionaire-ridden, freeways of hell, too damned expensive state, I remind myself that here, at least, I won’t be fired, beaten up, exorcised, or murdered for daring to be a Pagan, pro-choice, feminist, humanist woman.
Plan B: You're killing babbiieeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeesssssssssssssssssss!
