I work for one of those big law firms. Dealing with insurance companies is a huge pain in the ass. The in house lawyers only handle certain matters.

Dude, please, just stop. Most stores don’t have that kind of insurance. They may have some liability insurance, but there are limits on the coverage, and the insurance companies don’t provide the lawyers, the company pays for them, and getting reimbursed is a bitch.
