I live in the NYC area where incomes are high. We do pretty well and I try to remind my kids of that- keep them somewhat grounded considering there’s a homeless shelter 5 blocks from my comfortable home. I don’t think people realize how that final 1% is sliced up. In the NYC area someone in the 1% ($600k) is a dual

Exactly. If you want a car that’s not a shit box and has some modern safety systems you are very much in the $15-20k range.

Same. My company car is a Chevy Equinox and I have the small center screen set to show digital speed. My GT4 has a full time physical speedo but it also is small and goes to probably 180-200 despite the car probably maxing out at around 175-180. I have only ever looked at the digital readout.

Just remember that Americans are no longer the target market for BMW. It is China by far. This is why the styling is an abomination to our eyes.

I love seeing GT cars in crazy shades. That said, I couldn’t pull the trigger on a yellow GT4 because it was just too much for me. Love seeing them, not driving them (ended up in GT Silver- pretty low key).

At least you live in a building with off street parking and the potential for plenty of charging. I live in a small dense old city with probably 15,000 parking permits issued for residential street parking. I’ve said it before- there are millions of people who street park on this country that will be VERY difficult

Saw the headline, did a quick “WTF?” in my head and of course clicked immediately. Good stuff.

Was thinking the same thing. When is Wells Fargo the best actor in a situation?! Props to the bank though for doing the right thing.

I’m sorry bit there is zero “nuance” here. You out the words “CPO” in the ad, then the price, then the price includes CPO, just lie it includes 4 wheels and a steering wheel. Eff this dealer. I don’t understand why Tom and other son here are so hesitant to name and shake these bastards. Ge the word out so they feel

Exactly. Maybe $7-8k I would think about it. Also, I assume the seller meant that this manual SUV is as rare as the manual Cayenne. And yes old manual Cayennes do command a nice premium, especially the GTS.

Maybe it varies by state but here in NJ if I was in an accident where you hit me, my insurance company pays me for the damages immediately and then goes to your insurance company for the reimbursement. This FL scenario is weird.

Jalopnik covered this a couple years ago. The best head scratching cars on a lot were at a local north Jersey Lia dealer around here. Pretty sure the comments agreed that maybe some of these were personal cars of the owner of the dealership.

If an unborn embryo was run over by one of these trains, maybe then we could get enough votes to do something.

My beef isn’t with making incremental changes, it is with making incremental changes and then changing the entire name of the model. My beef is the marketing side of it, not the actual car or design. You don’t evolve the brand or model that way.

McLarens are exotic looking, they have the funky doors, they perform, etc. But to me they lack cache despite the price. I think part of it has to do with the company’s lack of consumer/street product history compared to Lambo, Ferrari, and Porsche. One way to overcome that would have been to adopt the Porsche naming

Good comment and the lead picture was a Camry with about 4 different items on the list. Fake exhaust outlet? Check. Fake vents? Check. Absurd wing that offers no aero benefit especially in a grocery getter auto 4 cylinder sedan? Check. Floating roof? Check. Millions of aggro cuts lines and design elements that have

I know that many of the buy here pay here places are predatory. That said, in many parts of America public transit is nonexistent and people need a car. IF they don’t stretch too much, some of these places may allow people to rebuild their credit. If it was me, I can see paying a high interest loan for two years on

That’s crazy. I thought the other reply about a business owner maybe hit the mail on the head until I read yours (and assumed you were a business owner).  So maybe a BIG business owner bought a shit ton of Dodges?!?!

The bigger question is how many freaking DODGES do you have to buy to be a “loyal customer”?!?!?!
