I’m willing to bet that deburring and bevelling did not even occur to them. The company is run by a know-nothing narcissist who employs fresh-out-of school engineers who has no fucking idea what they’re doing.

It does looks fairly horrible. Seen a few around. I just don’t get why people fanboy over a vehicle with such issues. If my pickup had half as many problems, I’d never get that make again!

Somewhat on topic: Earlier today I saw my first ever Cybertruck in the wild, in a grocery store parking lot. I LOL’d because it looks so much dorkier IRL than in pictures.

In British Colombia this is a failure for a motor vehicle safety inspection. You aren’t allowed to have anything on the exterior of the vehicle that is ‘sharp enough that a child could cut their finger on’.

It’s not just him though, it’s the entire right wing establishment. Various republican legislators are doing everything they can to make it effectively illegal to build out solar in their states.

Trump was a disaster for the American solar power industry. He ceded the entire sector to China, which now controls more than 80% of the global photovoltaic panel supply chain. If he’s elected again he will most certainly do that in other nascent industries as well. He is the death of American innovation.
