Pretty much. Season 8 is the last Golden Era season, and Season 9 still has a few dying gasps. The Principal and the Pauper is bad, and the last sequence of that year’s Treehouse of Horror falls pretty flat.

Watching old episodes of Ferguson is part of my evening routine. It’s fun to see who the guests were 10+ years ago, and how many are now dead or revealed to be horrible people.
