Yeah, I think most people have forgotten, because he’s had literally the worst deal out of anyone the last 2 seasons, but Theon kinda sucks. He’s objectively terrible and I can’t believe how sorry they made me feel for him.

+ Eleventy billion
The show is set in the medieval times of an imaginary land. Evil things happen in those times.
Since the writers have dropped the Lady Stoneheart thread, is this possibly a way to incorporate parts of that vengeance theme into the show? Meaning that Sansa will become, in effect, LADY STONEHEART, and along with Arya, Jon and Bran, and where the hell is Rickon!?! (Damn, GRRM for introducing a character and then…
Of course she’s no longer naive to expect a happy marriage. She’s no longer naive to believe she’ll have a happy life and that was most likely after Margery’s plan to have her marry her brother fell through and Tyrion was swapped in. Her innocence was killed thoroughly when her dad was beheaded. Everything else after…
I’ve never scene a fight scene with so much wasted motion.
Basically just living for Sansa’s revenge. Every time I tune in I’m like IS THIS WHEN THE REVENGE PLOT GETS REALIZED? Team Sansa 100%. Showed up just for Sansa eventually killing her enemies.
AND WHY WERE THEY WEARING SCARVES OVER THEIR FACES???
a) Agreed so much. His flippant comment about her being a good fighter filled me with terror. I just know he’s poisoned :(
Don’t hold your breath about it. The party line seems to be “Well, Ramsay is a monster, what did you expect?”
I love Jezebel, and I like most of the writers a lot, but sometimes they do disappoint me. Oh well.
I have been refreshing throughout the day, hoping for a “welp, we’re done with this” post or at least a full post devoted to the torture-porn, “how much violence against women can we tolerate” aspect. Especially when other sites announced cutting GoT from their coverage. I am pretty bummed out.
This is going to be so mean of me, but it was a just bunch of teen girls acting cool and I was very glad when Bronn got his shot in about how one fought well for a little girl and made her all ragey. I was hoping that Oberyn raised a bunch of fiercely independent women but these gals disappoint.
And of course he stood by Renly’s body. He was his sworn guard and a knight is supposed to stand vigil over a dead body before burial. Wearing his armor at the Blackwater was a physiological tactic to scare Stannis’s men. Boom. Go away High Sparrow and your immodest man cleavage.
I’m not sure I’ve ever seen so much wasted motion in a fight scene. They should all be exhausted before landing their first blows.
OMG RIGHT!! Like I’m waiting with baited breath for him to pull her aside and tell her that he didn’t kill her brothers and that he’ll slit Ramsey’s throat while giving him a shave in front of his father. But then Sansa will be all like “No let me do it!” and out of nowhere Nymeria makes a comeback and rips his…
I agree with you expect what you said about Madeleine. I don’t get Jezebel’s reaction, at all. It’s not unexpected, because this is Jezebel we’re talking about, but how can they not realize how problematic it is? The Fucking Concourse has a really good write up of why this is fucked. (The Concourse is actually really…
Ha! As a book reader, I feel like this season is moving the plot at hyperspeed.
That sand snake fight scene was clearly choreographed by the folks from the 90s era Power Rangers. I actually yelled at the TV, “It’s MORPHIN’ time!”
Question: why didn’t Loras just raise an eyebrow and say, “of course he’s seen my birthmark. He’s my squire. He helps me suit up, you morons”?
my theory is that they wrote this season while still hoping that GRRM would release the next book.
