I suggest, much like we figured out tabs vs. spaces, is see who makes the most money between gif vs jif users. Because as we all know, money solves all arguments. Also, it’s gif because if you have to write jif just to show an alternate pronunciation, then I’ll pronounce it the ways it’s spelled....gif.

I’m not sure that it’s really progressivism that you’re seeing. It’s exceptionally rational, and you may be projecting your own conclusions onto that.

Completely agree. Nintendo owned it with their short and succinct showing... Why? Games I actually want to play AND games that are coming out this year (looking at you Sony).

I’d really like the age of looking to video game developers to be our priestly guidance counselors to end. Are video game players that desperate for parental figures or something?

Worse than that is all these co-op shooters are rarely good and have much longevity. But a game like Mass Effect or Dragon Age Origins? You can go back to play those years later and still have fun. In 15 years I doubt Anthem will still be online and playable.

Seriously. This super-secret hype machine that was supposed to be “the Bob Dylan of games” is some boring Destiny-Titanfall-Wildlands hybrid?

You been living under a rock? Everybody is trying to get in on that action. The Division is a recent example for there are plenty. Everything is going open world multiplayer. Single player is becoming less and less common in the AAA market.

Anybody who has ever tried to play games like that knows that playing solo isn’t very fun and turns into even more of a grindfest.

Same, for the first time in my life I’m not even remotely interested in getting a Bioware game. I don’t like how that feels.

I was really hoping it wouldn’t be another Destiny/Warframe wannabe. Screw multiplayer co-op stuff. I want single player RPG’s. I want some Bioware in my Bioware games!
