It’s tough because I always felt part of the charm of the game was the things I didn’t understand and were not translated from Japanese. That added a level of mystery and forgiveness to the game. But we have the old crappy translation still. This remake is called a remake on purpose. Let’s do it different.

The thing to remember is that blackface is not that old. It only recently (like the 80s) became taboo.

Agreed. I think a lot of games have done a great job by letting you ramp down difficulty but not up as well.

How would one possible know if a game is going to be that kind of difficult until you play it? At that point you’ve already invested, sometimes heavily before these things arise.

Interesting that this kind of thing had the opposite effect in FFXV. That’s essentially what the last half of the game is.
