“People are emotional, you idiot.” Indeed. Also, you sound like a Trump supporter with your rude and uncivil post. And I kindly suggest that you use some empathy, and not insult people that have different opinions than you.

I feel the same way about women’s volleyball, so I hear yah. Although I do think it’s funny how women somehow need bikini’s bottoms, and men are just fine with long shorts.

Women watch football too you know, so maybe that’s geared towards them? I personally really don’t care all that much about a guy’s inspiring journey back to the field. Really most of the reason I watch football is to see how my fantasy football players are doing.

I want to be more into cycling, as I enjoy riding my bike. But really most of the race is quite boring. It’s just people riding in the peloton suffering. The only exciting things are the crashes and the finishes. If they just showed the last 3 minutes of all the bike races I would be happy.

You don’t have to like the results, but the hard metrics bear out the fact that a) women like the Olympics more than men b) women enjoy the emotional journey more than the actual result. If women wanted to just watch the races and nothing else, than NBC would give them that if that was what got ratings. TV executives

Meh, I give people over 80 a pass for the retrograde things they say. They will be dead soon anyways.

Well Trump did say that he was a unifier, unifier of two parties in opposition to him, but still.

The polls say otherwise. Off the top of my head, Trump has the support of 82% of republicans, while Hillary has the support of 90%. That’s a problem when there are more democrats than republicans anyways, he needs all of the support he can get and his crazy antics are scaring off some of his conservative base.

My amusement at Trump’s antics directly corresponds to how far or behind Clinton is in the polls. If Trump is up, his antics are terroryfing. When Hillary is up, his antic are hilarious, and republicans humiliation schadenfreudlicious.

Whatever Hodor is lacking in eloquence and intelligence, he makes up for by staying on message.

Great point, other elections are going on that are almost just as important. If liberals want a liberal supreme court justice, then they need to make sure that dems take over the Senate.

Not actually what I said, what I actually said was that men can get raped, and in the military, are raped more than women due to sheer numbers. Men are allowed to have an opinion on raped, because they often are raped. Not as much as women but it does happen.

I can’t speak for all schools, but the consequences for drinking at Baylor aren’t automatic expulsion.

I’m so sorry that happened to you!! I’m glad that you have found a measure of peace and healing. Best of luck to you in your future endeavors, and thanks for sharing your story.

How is that germane to the discussion. Are only people who are raped allowed to have opinions on rape? What about murder? Or carjackings?

It looks like Baylor doesn’t have a zero tolerance expulsion policy for alcohol. From their student code of conduct.

How can adults be forced to go to college? It sucks having to take out student loans and get a part time job but millions of people have done it before. Are you going to say that med school students are forced to become Doctors as well because they were pressured by their parents?

I don’t respond to people making ad hominem attacks, have a good day.

I’m sure there do, but pressure isn’t equal to coercion. Kids are free to take out student loans and go to other secular universities if they don’t want to abide by the morality code of schools like Baylor.

Agree that rape is not premarital sex. I disagree that I implied that it was. As I wrote in my post, “Furthermore, if students are too ashamed to report being rape because they don’t want their parents to find out, then that’s an issue brought about by rape culture and isn’t necessarily Baylor’s fault.”
