So Boba was with the Tuskens for 5 years? But there's nothing to suggest that he was with them more than a few months. Heck, that kid Tusken didn't grow at all.

So this is going to be a crappier version of The Voyage Home and the DS9 two parter “Past Tense” where Sisko accidentally travels to 2024 and gets trapped in a government run slum.

I’d say 9/10. Akiva Goldsman basically admitted in an interview that like season 1, they didn’t plan out season 2 and just made it up as they went along.

These HBO DC TV shows have been knocking it out of the park. Doom Patrol, Harley Quinn, Watchmen, the gone too soon Swamp Thing, Superman & Lois, and now Peacemaker.

Yeah, Boba just starting to recruit goons now makes him seem pretty incompetent. And he recruits the cyberpunk Jets to contend against ruthless criminal organizations and mass murderers? I don’t see how those kids won’t just be slaughtered by criminals who have no problem wiping out an entire village of Tuskens.

This is the kind of world building Star Wars needs. If they want to keep going back to the OT, then they need to do more to add to the lore like this show does. If they had only gone back to Tatooine without contributing anything new, I would drop the show. But they’re showing more of Tusksan culture and how things

No, it won’t really be relevant. They will rediscover old artifacts and reinvent some technology. But they’re not going to find a working computer or a cache of modern day weapons. In the WoT universe, time is cyclical. History doesn’t repeat but very similar events happen with each cycle. So the events of the series

Spoiler from the books about the villains.

So.... that was bad. Did they take that Age of Legend set from the Billy Zane WoT pilot? That whole scene had a serious case of Star Wars prequelitis. They’re just having a casual conversation in a pristine city during what is supposed to be an apocalyptic war.

I watched part of the episode again, and I noticed some strangely paced/edited/shot scenes that were reminiscent of Falcon & the Winter Soldier. That show had some significant plotlines altered and it may have been the case here too. For example, in the scenes where Maya fights Kazi, some of Kazi’s lines were

I think ultimately, the biggest problem with the whole franchise is the human battery idea. It’s a terrible idea but it’s become so important to the world itself. The main conflict is pretty much over human batteries. The machines need to keep the Matrix running because they need the power from their human batteries.

The situation was different when Kate and Yelena talked the first time. In their first meeting, they were just sitting at table talking. In the second meeting, criminals were actively endangering people’s lives and there were people trying to assassinate Kate’s mom.

There's a difference between cracking jokes during action and stopping the action to crack jokes.

But how does a show being light and fun prevent it from having any sense of consequence or tension? Would the show no longer be fun if the villains were competent? The show can have characters murdered and be light and fun but it wouldn't be fun if the characters started using some common sense?

What are you talking about? What does the show having no tension, consequences, or logic have anything to do with that?

How often has the MCU been dark and serious?

The parts with Yelena and Clint were great. The end with Clint’s family was good. The Avengers musical was funny. The rest was very disappointing. I’m tempted to call it a disaster. Instead of Die Hard, we got Die Hard 5.

I liked it. I’m kind of surprised by some of the mixed and negative reactions.

The peace treaty is still in place. There's no war, but the movie does set up potential conflicts for the future.

Yeah, I’m also unimpressed with the Witcher books. I started reading some of them when Witcher 2 came out, got bored, then I read some more when Witcher 3 came out. Overall, I read a collection of short stories and two books. I also listened to two audiobooks, hoping that they would be better. I did not like them at
