Justice League: Gods and Monsters has a lot of problems but it did a good job with a “dark and edgy” Superman. In the movie, Superman was found by illegal immigrants and grows up with a very cynical view of humanity. He’s a superhero but he does kill. It’s a world where no one trusts each other and everyone’s afraid

This movie just exemplifies the main problem with the DCEU and further illustrates why they never should have put Snyder in charge in the first place. Instead of setting up the characters and this world over several movies to build up to Justice League, they try to cram way to much into one movie. And they’re teasing

Falcon trying to be a superhero while also having money problems, now he knows how Spider-Man, Daredevil, and Luke Cage feel.

Te Justice League Watchtower is on the moon. Maybe DC comics exist in the MCU.

So Darkseid forgot that he invaded earth 5,000 years ago and found the Anti-Life Equation here?

There’s definitely more reveals ahead. We still don’t know who they’re making the show withing the show for. If Agatha was really in control, why would she need to make that Agatha All Along title sequence? Who is watching that?

I'm guessing Cole will actually end up being an established character or he'll betray the earth realm warriors and it'll be revealed that he's a villain in disguise, either Shang Tsung or Quan Chi.

Lifelong smoker who denied that smoking causes lung cancer dies of lung cancer.

This looks like that SNL Joker parody of Oscar the Grouch.

The show keeps trying to talk a big game but there’s no substance to anything it tries to say. They have these lofty speeches about unity and building a community but there is just no world building for any of that to take place.

It’s really not that different than the Federation allying with the Klingons and Romulans during the Dominion War. Both the Klingons and Romulans have done terrible things, they’ve both tried to destroy or conquer the Federation before, but the Dominion was the bigger threat and they had to come together if they

Exactly, it’s not like the Federation hasn’t allied with morally ambiguous civilizations before. They made peace with the Klingons and established an alliance even though the Klingons were still conquering and enslaving people. They even had a TNG episode where a planet conquered by the Klingons was rebelling and the

If Osyraa wants to use Discovery as leverage, why would she take the ship into the heart of Starfleet where they can blow it up and take away her biggest advantage if negotiations fail? That makes no sense.

I wonder if the writers even watch their own show or review their own scripts. The story arc before this one was literally about how awesome Mirror Georgiou was. They had no problem allying with a genocidal megalomaniac, using her skills and knowledge, and having her help the Federation using extremely underhanded

Maybe there’s a deleted scene where that guy wished he could have sex with Diana.

This definitely felt like the Christopher Reeves Superman films or a Silver Age comic. Maybe it was too much like the later Christopher Reeves Superman films and too Silver Agey with so much silly over the top stuff. I can totally see Richard Pryor giving Superman a piece of synthetic Kryptonite, turning him into a

Except Mirror Georgiou didn’t become less likely to do terrible things. She’s just doing different terrible things.

They definitely should have done something to mitigate that de-aging effect. They could have had the Dark Troopers try to cut power to the bridge so the lights go out and the only lighting in the room are from the security monitors. Having a dark room would have done a lot to hide the imperfection in the CG.

And part of being a good writer is listening to criticism and making sure that terrible ideas don’t get past the brainstorming stage. That seems to be a problem with the Discovery writers. The Discovery writers are aware of some of the problems of their writing, they even have the characters point out a couple of those

Except no one is saying that Georgiou can’t ever be redeemed. The problem is that the show never tried to redeem her. They didn’t really develop Georgiou in all the episodes where she’s in the prime universe. She continued to revel in her cruelty, she joked about her sadism, she never showed regret or remorse over all
