Section 31 cannot be an official arm of Starfleet precisely because the Federation isn’t a monolith.
Section 31 cannot be an official arm of Starfleet precisely because the Federation isn’t a monolith.
Making Section 31 an official part of Starfleet is a terrible idea and pretty much destroys the legitimacy of the Federation.
What? They won’t make a Batman Beyond movie but they’ll do this? This would be if they decided to make a Batmobile spin off movie off of the success of the Dark Knight trilogy.
Cameron must be a fan of Sarah Connor Chronicles because he hired the showrunner to be a writer on the new Terminator film, and Avatar 2.
Clearly this has nothing to do with the Punisher comics and everything to do with having a tribute to Stan Lee after a scene of mass murder.
Are you being purposefully obtuse? He wasn’t complaining about how Frank killed the gangs. He was questioning Frank’s decision to become a criminal vigilante rather than working for the CIA where he would be protecting the country from its foreign enemies. Did you not see season 1 of Punisher and its criticism of…
I suppose it was a good idea to end the show now on a happy note, right before the Yuko uprising that enslaves all of humanity.
I don’t understand why people think that a more “traditional” take on Superman has to make him some cheesy boyscout. He can still have a lot of personality. He can be funny, witty, charming, but serious and deal with darker subject matters when the need arises. The DCAU had a great Superman.
It feels like the show and the crew are not learning from their mistakes. They already did another episode where the crew gets in trouble with an alien culture because they failed to learn very basic rules of that society. In the social media critique episode, they went to the planet without learning the rules and a…
Sivana is supposed to have the power to steal magic in this movie, so presumably he has lightning powers when he’s fighting Shazam but he also has other powers that he’s stolen.
I wouldn’t mind if it was padding since Shazam is supposed to be what a kid thinks a superhero looks like.
I’m pretty sure this kind of thing has been done before.
Having the show end with Frank shooting up a bunch of people and cutting to “In Loving Memory of Stan Lee” was not a good idea.
Iron Fist, of all things, actually did a reasonably good job of using D.I.D. as a supervillain origin.
There is some Lady in the Water level writing in this film.
They already did this with “Into Darkness.” Although, Mirror Georgiou is much worse than Khan. Khan never blew up a planet, ate sapient beings, or built a machine that threatened all life in the universe.
I thought Jessica Jones season 2 and Luke Cage season 2 were both good. It’s just that they strayed a lot from the usual superhero plotlines and tried new things.
Aquaman would certainly win most special effects if the Oscars gave out awards based on volume.
It’s pretty much the same plan as every “well intentioned” super villain from Wilson Fisk to Poison Ivy to Ra’s al Ghul, just on a much bigger scale.
Doesn’t that mean Netflix did Disney a favor by cancelling these shows so soon? If they really wanted to be dicks about it, they could have stretched things out and canceled these shows 6 months after their latest seasons instead of 1 month after.
