Everyone in the hotel was playing the video. Matt knew about the video before the fight.
You need to watch the show again. Nadeem’s death was the final straw for Matt that made him abandon his principles. The revelation of Nadeem’s sacrifice made him return to his principles.
That was before Nadeem’s dying declaration when he thought that Nadeem died for nothing and all their struggles were pointless. Nadeem’s sacrifice turned things around for Matt.
He didn’t have to sneak all that stuff through his apartment. His apartment didn’t take up the whole hotel. They built a stairwell from some space adjacent to his room and it led to a secret room on a floor or two below.
Matt wanted to kill Fisk after Nadeem died. He thought that everything they did was for nothing and that the only way he can beat Fisk is to abandon his principles and kill Fisk. But Nadeem’s dying declaration showed that Nadeem took responsibility for his mistakes and that he willingly chose to sacrifice his life for…
Fisk owns the hotel through one of his shell companies. That’s what Karen’s been investigating.
I think it was pretty obvious that Nadeem’s dying declaration brought Matt around on killing Fisk. Nadeem took responsibility for all the mistakes he made, he stood up for his principles to protect his family and bring Fisk down, and he was willing to die for it. That’s what made Matt return to his own principles.
They’re going full circle with Dex. Fisk pulled him from his “assignment” to kill Karen just like how his coach pulled him from the last pitch.
They only trust the NYPD because all the corrupt cops who worked for Fisk were removed at the end of season 1.
This episode does a great job of giving you details about how characters operate that lets you fill in things for yourself.
The prison attack didn’t need to be contingent on Matt visiting the prison. Fisk knew that if someone investigated him, they’d try to contact the Albanians. So he just had things set up so that anyone who went to the prison asking about the Albanians would get taken care of. The drugging was supposed to get rid of…
Broccoli on pizza. Yeah, he’s definitely evil.
The change the direction of the show is a good idea beyond just story reasons. Even though Finn Jones has had a year to train, and he’s improved a lot, he’s clearly still not as good as Jessica Henwick. So it just makes more sense to put greater focus on Colleen for the very practical reason that Jessica is better at…
Even though Iron Fist season 2 was a huge improvement, it was still held back by the horrible first season. All the problems in season 2 were due to them trying to fix problems from season 1. If season 2's showrunner had been there from the beginning, the show would have been way better.
That’s like asking why didn’t the Empire just build 100 New Hope Death Stars instead of the gigantic one in Return of the Jedi. Or why the First Order didn’t build a million Death Stars instead of the planet size Starkiller base.
Ficarra says their script starts with Harley kidnapping Dr. Phil, who she hopes will able to provide her and Joker with some couples counseling, and they’d like the real Dr. Phil to play himself.
The cartoons also treated all the characters like human beings, including the villains. It showed how even though the villains did bad things, they were still victims of terrible circumstances or their own mental illness. Batman wasn’t just there to kick the crap out of them, he genuinely wanted to help them.
Didn’t they already say that Disney’s streaming service will be staying PG-13 and below? So they’re not going to do anything like Netflix’s Marvel shows.
If you really want a laugh, just wait until you see the movie’s box office numbers.
