“And just so we can get this on the record, in case you never realised that legal teams work harder than just checking Kotaku once a week, we did not post about this project, nor did we even mention it in passing, and yet Nintendo’s lawyers found it all the same.”

It’s mindblowing how this needs to be said. It’s like

And then Disney buys Microsoft.  And then Amazon buys Disney.  And then the Vogons demolish the Earth to make way for a hyperspace bypass.

None of that power on screen came for free, none of it.

Maybe not the best article to link as Naomi has a huge bone to pick with Vice over their coverage of her. Obviously not blaming you, as it’s a bit obscure unless you’ve been following her for awhile.

40% of cops can name all 151 Gen-1 Pokemon. Don’t believe me?

Let me just translate this from corporate speak to English:

good

Well, now the thing I’m most looking forward to about this release is a new episode of Monster Factory.

Uno All Wild is a real game and not some sort of sick joke.

Makes sense. The company was saved by people running scams on their stock and crypto bros. Running further crypto bro scams seems like the best way to take advantage of that for them.

The gameplay isn’t the problem.

I don’t doubt that at least part of this has to do with a publisher having outsized expectations for the performance of a game, but it’s also worth mentioning that we don’t know the cost to develop the game and the amount of revenue brought in by those 9 million sales.

Same here. I remember getting it for Christmas one year, and that was all I played! Still love Burnout 3!

Burnout:Takedown was my favorite. It was also the first game to ever give me blisters on my thumbs from playing it so much

I forget which Burnout series it was, but we had the Playstation hooked up to a projector, and would get drunker than Cooter Brown, and do the crash mode thing, complete with explosions.

It really was the ultimate drinking game. Get drunk, CRASH! High score naturally wins.

THAT was way better than having some drinks

Wow, that was extremely well put. I don’t think there’s anything one could’ve added to make your point clearer. Going to have to use this to shut my NFT bro friends up.

I would highly recommend dropping the environmental effects and chip-shortage parts when making these arguments. It just gives these NFT bros something to focus on as a “gotcha” in their replies because the environmental effects are mostly taken care of now and Ethereum is going proof of stake next year, essentially

You’re my god damn hero for writing such a simple, concise, enlightening and relevant comment

It’s foreign to you, your understanding of NFTs is minimal.
