Fair enough, but if Dever wants the role, they better either get CG to the point where actors don’t have to warp their bodies for our entertainment, or she needs to start doing a lot of CrossFit, cuz...

Fair enough, but I can’t hate on fro’d out Mattie Franklin, though. That look is fire!
Yeah, the concept... kinda works? #girlboss Spider-Ladies vs. Oh, Who’s Someone From The Comics We Can Use That No One Cares About isn’t the worst idea. All these characters have zero pop culture presence in the wilder world (which is wild considering how long Julia Carpenter has been around), so to give them some…
Yes. And you thought them de-aging Aunt May was bad... :P
Yeah, watching that short probably helped PR2017's medicine go down, for sure. I don’t like it at all. When someone says “takes the subject matter too seriously”, THIS SHORT is what I think of.
Actors: Now that we’ve gotten raises and you won’t try to puppet our corpses around after our deaths? We’re happy to!
A good chunk of them think that, maybe, but easily not all of them. You would think that by now, enough of them would be like “hey, this is bullshit” and make the Actual Left Party or something and very carefully keep the word “socialism” out of their vocabulary until potential voters realize that things that are good…
I was about a 6 on the movie, but that line catapults it to an 8 minimum.
Also, the thing is? It costs them a little money. It costs them WAY more power and leverage, and THAT’S what they want. That’s why they’re spending more to union bust than it would cost to just acquiesce to the demands. They know if they let things slip through their fingers here, they’ll lose control of their work…
Yeah, about that...
In Chibnall’s limp defense, it does make logical sense to align a show centered around time travel with the changing of the years, but it makes far, FAR more resonant sense to put it at Christmas, especially when it comes to British cultural traditions. Doctor Who just... clicks at Christmas, regardless of the quality…
Hopefully not much. “Hey, wanna spend an hour in a recording booth to play a character we love? We’re obviously gonna pay!” Seems like a no brainer to me...
My biggest resistance to this is that I like giving young actors a bump. Power Rangers helped keep the lights on for a lot of American and Aotearoan actors, and you know they’re gonna screw the VAs on the paycheque (and everyone else, for that matter). Live action just so pay stuff can’t be shoved into a corner and…
I am straight and married, but putting tomatoes at #59 where they belong makes me want to marry you, Matt. I feel so seen...
Swiss Army Man, eat your heart out. :P
Fair enough. Literally have only seen reviews and couldn’t remember properly. My B.
... neat!
These movies really need to introduce an “impetus” thing for the people who stay in the situation beyond all reason. The clowns or the occult guy or whoever “pick” someone with more ambition than sense to be drawn to the house so they can feast on souls. That way, it explains LITERALLY WHY THESE MOVIES KEEP HAPPENING.…
Literally more the merrier. Eccleston in a voice cameo as a bank manager asking where their payment is! Arthur Darvill as an awkward street sweeper who never manages to get an actual word in edgewise! Catherine Tate as The Landlady! Just throw in everyone and have a great time, like it’s a mid-2010s Adam Sandler movie!
And Ncuti Gatwa is the super nice guy who’s moving in afterwards!
